Stand-up comedy is exactly like being a priest- you stand on a little stage, everyone has to listen to you, and there's alcohol!

Using Hair as a Form of Social Justice
The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles has a great interview with @madinlopez about their experience in LA, reaching out to homeless LGBTQIA+, and their salon and community center ProjectQ. It’s really amazing stuff, highlighting the amazing community that is found in LA.
Also check out their website and consider donating to support programs and safe spaces for the homeless LGBTQIA+ youth of LA: https://www.projectq.me/home
ALSO also donate to the Pride Membership Drive! Times are tough, and they need help providing to the community during these hard times, inclduing food and hygiene boxes: https://www.projectq.me/
The Transformation documentary
Makeovers for young trans people. It’s extremely good, largely because the makeover recipients are wonderful. What’s also great is that a key player in these makeovers, the dedicated Madin Lopez, also spends a great deal of time on Project Q, giving queer adolescents and young adults haircuts for free. In short, I learned things and loved the people in this documentary and basically want everyone to watch it (if they haven’t already).
Join us on the HER instagram story this Sunday, September 10th for a special takeover by ProjectQ founder Madin Lopez!

Please Support: Project Q!
Project Q aims to provide services to the LGBTQ community through a mobile hair salon! Hairstylist Madin Lopez was inspired to form the project to help people feel special and find confidence in their identity. Lopez believes that greater self-esteem can combat LGBTQ bullying.
Help support this awesome project!
