SAYAKA MIKI!!!!!!!!!!! AND MAMI TOMOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Puella Magi Madoka Magica products: Way cuter than they have any right to be, given... Well. You know.
But hey, if you happen to be a Madoka fan, maybe that cuteness will help soothe the bone-deep pain you no doubt feel after watching the show. It's worth a shot, right?

sorry this isn't Zelda related but I just finished the first Madoka movie and I forgot how destroyed I get over Sayaka's arc. like I love Homura because she's a really interesting character, but Sayaka is the one I identify with the most - I would probably make the same choices she did initially and could definitely go to the same bad end - so basically just kill my ass, why is this series so fucking sad??? help me what do I do
SAYAKA IS SO IMPORTANT like. she is so important. her entire character arc throughout the series is so important,. i dont talk about sayaka much but i really love her so much Dx i know how to play her theme on piano ahahaha...
whoop, made it through the first episode's worth of the first movie - the detailed scenery and mami's enhanced transformation sequence are really cool! i wonder why they cut out madoka's dream in the beginning, though...? (assuming they did and it wasn't just cut off on the site i'm watching)
they did cut it, and i think it might have just been a time management thing? also i remember reading somewhere that the first two movies were edited in a way that was more clearly focused on characters (esp. sayaka) so maybe thats why too idk o_o
now you have me watching the madoka anime again - i didn't see rebellion and your post has me really curious about it because i'm pretty fascinated by homura, but first i need to refresh my memory to make sure i'm not missing any pertinent details. (which is difficult because just hearing the soundtrack makes me pretty emotional! but i'll persevere!)
WATCH THE FIRST TWO MOVIES!!!!! its exactly the anime but 2hrs shaved off in total AND NEW TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCES AND A REALLY REALLY REALLY REAAAAAAALLY BALLIN NEW SOUNDTRACK YEAH
sorry i get really intense about the madoka movies the extra content is just TOO. GOOD.
I love the franchise but I dislike how Rebellion destroyed Homura's character to interrupt Madoka's sacrifice when that was the whole point of her wish she was aware of what she would lose and she wanted to make up for all that Homura suffered so wtf
homuras character was made to be destroyed. if i were stuck in a seemingly endless cycle of watching a person i unrightfully idolized at the ripe age of 12 for years and years i would have wound up exactly like our darling homura. i wasnt sure about her development at first but i grew to appreciate it a LOT, bc her entire arc in rebellion is about how incredibly deep and heinous her depression became, and also the dangers of creating a world where 12 year olds are capable of rewriting entire universal systems thats like. just a really bad idea lmfao.
and also she ultimately comes to embody the concept of wordly attachments, bc she couldnt let go of her attachment to "worldly madoka", like homura got in SO DEEP that she wasnt capable of understanding the WAS a world past that, which is very much a buddhist kind of philosophy anyway so i thought it fit nicely???? i like homuras character a lot more now tbh ahahaha
i am SO MAD about the Madoka ending. I think Madoka's solution was brilliant, and there's no reason why it shouldn't work and solve everybody's problems forever, but then the ending is like "and in the new timeline everything still ended up shitty and pretty much the same but for completely different reasons than the ones madoka fixed" and like.... that's just so unfair and dishonest and makes me so mad
i really like the madoka ending???????? which ending are we talking tho like....the ending to the series or.........up to the end of rebellion BC THOSE ARE VERY DIFFERENT BUT LIKE
madoka basically became the concept of enlightenment which previously had no real mechanical existence???? and she brings magical girls to enlightment after they have suffered in the world and i think thats rly great, bc theres absolutely no way to ABOLISH ALL SUFFERING (especially since the loophole in madoka's wish is that she did not wish for a lack of MAGICAL GIRLS just a lack of WITCHES but thats explained more in rebellion)
