Magic Dimension's map
Winx Club Headcanons - The Magic Dimension ‘Magix’
The Magic Dimension sits tucked away from the Milky Way Galaxy in what is called a pocket dimension. Only magical beings are able to move in and out of the pocket, and this can be done either though transports or magical transformations and artifacts. The pocket was created after magical users were being killed on Terra (Earth) during the witch trials and has caused the magical dimension to become detached from other dimensions and galaxy's.
In terms of ruling monarchs, they rule over systems, not just planets. The systems are ruled by High Monarchs which reside on the largest and most central planet. The secondary planets are often overseen by dukes and duchesses - though occasionally their will be a second monarch that is overseen by the high monarchy. Governments are often used in Systems, however, to what degree depends on the system.
Most planets fall within a system, however, they have the option of splitting off if they are able to maintain wealth and civilization without a ruling system monarch. The reason why most planets that split off and are successful is because of profitable resources - Isis (Diaspro’s home world) was able to split off from the Eraklyon system due to the huge profit from their natural resources - gemstones.
There were no new systems until Zenith, as they unnaturally created a new system by reviving dead planets and stars. It is unlikely that another new system will be created unless an Eternal Being creates new life within Magix.
While each system thrives independently, the Magic Dimension relies heavily on trade and trade routes, and due to this a trade council was made to stop the ongoing trade wars between systems.
Magix is the center of the magic dimension and does not belong to a system, rather it is a singular planet that orbits a singular sun. It is seen as the only true neutral place in the Dimension and apart from schools, it houses all political, war, trade councils and conventions.
Just finished rewatching Star VS The Forces of Evil and I have a theory of why it ended the way it did.
Most people will agree that the ending of Star (spoiler warning) seemed cheesy and last minute (which it kinda was) to have all the dimensions collide into one.
Hear me out on this though:
The magic dimension was a place that seemingly connected all dimensions together with portals leading to each one.
What if the magic dimension wasn't connecting them all but actually separating them all?
With the magic completely gone the portal was the last thing to exist that may have existed across all dimensions and when it collapsed all the dimensions were cleaved together because the magic was no longer there to keep them separated!
I think this makes the ending feel a bit more complete to me. Maybe it will for you too!
Dormammu you dingus I’ve come to bargain~
I saw this post and I couldn’t resist ;)
Can’t wait for the finale!!!
PLEASE DON’T REPOST!!

The Magical Dimension: Planets and Purpose
The Magic Dimension is separate from the rest of the Universe, being that it is in fact, a magical dimension. It literally exist on a separate plane of reality to the normal universe, as we perceive it.
The Magic Dimension is a deliberately structured system put in place by the Great Dragon at the beginning, in order to maintain order and balance in the universe.
Much like the Three Pillars in the Infinite Ocean (season 4) have an actual measurable influence over the three Aspects they represent, the Magic Dimension – specifically the Worlds of the Magic Dimension – directly effect the things they represent in the Greater Universe.
The Magic Dimension is the control room of the Universe, the general health and well being of one, is visibly reflected in the other.
There are some Dimension Planes, which are 'further ascended' from the Magic Dimension, such as the Infinite Ocean, the Hall in which Arcadia (the First Fairy) reside, the dimensions where the Great Dragon and the Water Stars sleep. These Worlds don't just represent Aspects of the Universe, but contain some of the most Potent form of Essence.
Where these worlds are concerned, the Magic Dimension acts as a buffer zone between the ascended Worlds, and the Greater Universe.
The Magic Dimension is connected by magical lanes, (like the Hyperspace laneways found in the Star Wars universe or the wires on circuit boards.) occasionally people from the Greater Universe will stumble on these paths, and the Magic Dimension, but for the most part, the easiest (considered the only) way to go from the Magical Dimension to the Greater Universe, is via one of the Tethering Worlds which exist fully in both at once.
Earth is one of these worlds, and, like other Tethering Worlds, has no native species. It was colonies by a co-operative group made of volunteers from various Magic Dimension Worlds, in order to protect these points of entry from any who might seek to use the Magic Dimension to destroy the Greater Universe.
This is why Earth (and every Tethering World) has no definable Thematic Power amongst its magical population, and why it, unlike non-Tethering Worlds, has such a wide array of biomes.
Worlds within the Magic Dimension often have limited types of biomes and weather patterns, this is because they are the magical and physical embodiment of Aspects which make the Greater Universe.
Exceptions to this are Worlds like Magix, a colonised World nowhere near a Tethering point, (and the twin Worlds of Culunis and Agrian, which had natives, but opened their doors and invited people from all over) with multiple biomes and a variety of weather patterns.
The Thematic Power of Fairies and Witches is generally dependant on the World they (ancestrally) belong to. Within that alignment, some families will tend towards one facet over another, and with in that family, individual power levels may also affect things.
Some people are born on worlds which have nothing to do with their powers, sometimes this is because of distant (or not so distant) ancestry, sometimes it is simply a better fit for the soul and personality.
TLDR: The planets of the Magic Dimension are weird because cosmic control room reasons.
