Eltz - A Mystical Knight's Castle by Thomas Ulrich
Tiny Glade has a quiet and magical atmosphere
Oil Pastel Week Bonus!
One more oil pastel painting for good measure: I always have to do a crystal island in a new medium, and this one, painted on a wood panel for maximum softness and painterliness, is one of my favourite islands from this year! Oil pastels have been so rewarding, and I hope you enjoyed this art tour!
“Do you wish… to cross the bridge?” . . . • * • * ✨⭐️💫 . - The Last Stardog
Here are four lovely tempera on glass works created between 1920-9 by Polish artist Michalina Janoszanka (1889-1952): Zima (Winter) Wiosna (Spring) Motyl (Butterfly) Rajski Ptak (Paradise Bird) [1-3: Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie; 4: Connaisseur Salon Dzieł Sztuki]
A serene chairlift ride gently ascends into the soft embrace of the clouds in this winter wonderland in northern Finland. The dreamy twilight hues paint a magical landscape, inviting a moment of quiet awe.
Red Rocks
Can you see him... The Magician? He travels, disguised, as soft clouds Whenever the sky is blue (it's always blue) And that's how he likes it! He likes how the fancy Red Rocks Glow, like boiled sweets Beneath the sky in the green garden With the sparkly plants.
I'm not one-and-done with any of these pieces. There needs to be a follow-up painting... Where should the Magician go next, once he's done with his adventures by the Red Rocks?
Option 1: A volcano
Option 2: A tropical lake
Option 3: Saturn
