Blogmas: guys we have a La Mer sample! 🤍

Hi guys,

Guys I think I may have gotten the best skincare sample of my entire life! I was browsing the makeup and skincare counters at John Lewis and my friends were looking at the La Mer counter. Now while I love my skincare the most expensive cream I will ever buy is Magic Cream and that is my complete limit. Now imagine how shocked I was when I noticed that a La Mer 15ml cream is £80!!!

Honestly when I saw the price I think the main working the counter saw how shocked I was because he asked if I was okay ( I must of gone more pale than usual). The lovely gentleman started talking about the brand and the benefit of the products and while he was amazing at his job it was a line I'm not crossing. After he was finished talking about the product we all started heading to another counter and he told us to stop and bless his soul he gave us all a 7 ml sample of the iconic La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream.

Once we left the counter we realised that sample if worth £40!!!! it's completely insane. The moisturiser itself is meant to be a cooling gel delivers soothing moisture for a refreshed feel. It leaves your skin looking naturally vibrant and restored to it's healthiest state. La Mer products include miracle broth is the famous ingredient featured in all La Mer products / collections, apparently it infuses skin with sea-sourced renewing energies (again this is information is from their site). Sounds crazy when you read their descriptions, now personally I have never bought a La Mer cream because the prices range from 15ml £80.00, 30ml £155.00 and 60 ml £290.00 which is insane!

Now does this cream feel amazing on my skin? Yes Does my makeup sit really well on top? Yes. But will I be buying a full size? Heck no! Personally I am happy to stick with my Magic Cream (which let's be honest is expensive enough!), though it was nice to finally try the iconic cream. As always all products mentioned are linked above, though I don’t know who’s buying a cream for that price lol.

Blogmas Charlotte Tilbury hydrating skincare 🤍

Hi guys,

Since it's been so cold lately I wanted to talk you through my winter Charlotte Tilbury routine. During the colder months my skin needs more hydration so today I wanted to chat you through products that really help my skin. So today we are chatting about my favourite Tilbury skincare products and if you want to see an affordable drugstore skincare version let me know.

Let's start at the beginning of my routine after I have washed and double cleansed my face, I pick up the Glow Toner, £40.00. I love this toner because it is a pore-refining, acid-free hydrating toner with niacinamide for baby soft, smooth feeling skin and pores that appear reduced. I love how fresh my skin feels everytime I use this and glow it gives me after. It is also really good at removing dirt / dead skin cells from your complexion. I'm obsessed and use it every morning.

Next up I use a product I recently added to my collection the Magic Hydrating Mist, £35.00. On Charlotte's site she normally recommends doing this step before the Glow Toner but I don't want to then remove it with toner so I swap it around. If you haven't seen the Hydrating Mist, this is a new product in Charlotte's skincare wardrobe and it is a mist that oxygenating, hydrating face mist with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and pollution defence for an instant dewy glow on-the-go

In the past few years I have been obsessed with serum and using it after the first 2 steps feels like I'm looking in all that hydration. The Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, £65.00 has been my go to serum for 4+ years now and I owe a lot to it. Before I used it my skin was so oily and I felt like my skin was dull but having used it everyday for 4 years now my skin texture is amazing compared to what it was. Since my skin is more hydrated using these products I'm less oily because my skin isn't making up for hydration it's missing. When I started using this serum I didn't expect it to make my skin look so much brighter and just give me a nice healthy glow. Even on days when I'm not wearing makeup I will always have serum on.

Lastly we have the Magic Water Cream, £79.00. This cream has been designed for the "dehydration nation" as Charlotte says. Like the original cream this one cream will make your skin feel softer, more plump and boosts skin hydration 100% ( can't confirm stats from website but does feel amazing). I love using this cream because my skin feels way more hydrated when I use it and my dry patches are way less intense when I'm wearing makeup. Using this cream with the other products really helps my skin texture feel smooth and hydrated but you could also use this cream itself and feel like your skin is 10x better.

If you are someone who likes to purchase Charlotte Tilbury products then I really recommend you checking out her skin range. Though I know it's a pricey skincare collection to purchase, from my own experience the products are amazing and have really helped my skin type and texture improve. Skincare Favourites 2020!

Today’s top 5 countdown will be my favourite skincare products I’ve been using during 2020!

1. Clinique All In One Cleansing Micellar Milk & Makeup Remover, £18.00. I love Clinique skincare and this Micellar milk makes your skincare routine so much quicker. You simply apply the Micellar milk all over your face to clean your face and melt off all your makeup in one go. It’s so easy to use and gentle on the skin. If you’re not a big fan of using lots of skincare products this 2 in 1 product really is something worth checking out!

2. Boots Ingredients Caffeine Eye Cream, £6.00. I love under eye creams because when I’m tired I get really grey under eyes and this under eye cream has been a life saver. I use this on my undereyes before bed and in the morning and it makes such a difference. Out of all the eye products I’ve tried previously both highend and drugstore this one has by far been the most effective and better yet it’s the most affordable.

3. Revolution Skincare Pink Clay Detoxifying Sheet Mask, £8.00. These sheet masks have been a life saver to my skin! When I first started wearing a face mask at the beginning of the year my skin would break out a lot and using these face masks gave my skin so much more hydration and care it really needed. Every time after using my sheet mask my skin was always softer after using it. These packs are also great value for money because you get 5 sheet masks for £8.00 which is a total bargain. If you want your skin to feel more refreshed, moisturised and smoother, try these out!

4. Boots Ingredients Niacinamide serum 30ml , £5.00. The benefit of using this serum is your skin is more moisturised, reduces redness and make your skin less oily and shiney. If you have oily skin and want to reduce shine this serum is ideal for you. I love using serums but sometimes they can make your skin oily and if you already have oily skin then it’s a nightmare but this serum helps treat your skin and again is perfect for oily skin types. It’s also a great bargain at £5.00, Boots own brand skincare has really been a big skincare success for me this year and really helped treat my skin at such an affordable price.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, £50.00. Lastly the luxury skincare product! We all know how much I adore Magic Cream, it’s one of the few moisturisers that doesn’t leave my skin ridiculously shiney. I can use that hydrates my skin, plumps my skin and leaves it feeling so soft! I know this product is more on the luxury side but it’s made such a big difference to my skin and I love applying this product after my evening skincare routine and before my makeup routine.

Lipstick 2020 Favourites!

Hi guys!

Here is my top 5 lipstick favourites from 2020! This category was quiet ironic to me since there has been a good chunk of the year where no one saw our lips because of face masks. But even more ironically I think this year I’ve bought more lip products then ever!

1. Fenty beauty gloss bomb - Taffy tease, (from 2020 glossbomb giftset, £30.00) . I love getting the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Christmas collection and while I love all the colours from this years collection my favourite is Taffy Tease which is a beautiful pink coral glitter gloss! Anytime I’m not wearing a face covering I have this on my lips. The colour is lovely because it starts off subtle but you can build up pigment the more you apply.

2. Charlotte Tilbury - In Love With Olivia, £28.00. This lipstick has to have the prettiest packaging I’ve ever seen in my life!! This lipstick a gorgeous satin lipstick in a warm nude shade that pretty much goes with every makeup look ever! I love using this lipstick and feel like a glam woman when I have it on. Because of the price it took me a little while to convince myself to get it but now I have it I don’t know how I functioned without it.

3. Too Faced Lip Injection, £18.00. I bought this lip plumping gloss because I saw it EVERYWHERE and everyone and their mother said how amazing it was and that it needed to be tried. So me being me I decided to get it and give it a go, luckily for me a mini size was avaliable in their christmas collection. This lipgloss doesn’t fool around my lips blew probably two sizes bigger wearing this gloss and the whole process took like them 5 mins. I honestly had Kylie lips at one point so if you want to get more plump lips without the fillers here’s your new BFF!

4. Revolution Pro Matte Lipstick, Cashmere, £5.00. This is my favourite matte drugstore lipstick I own, it’s the perfect light toned nude that is great for bringing your eye makeup out. The packaging is really cute and it doesn’t dry your lips out like a lot of matte lipsticks.

5. M.A.C. cosmetics Faux Lipstick , £17.00. This creamy satin lipstick is the perfect pink toned nude. Anytime I’m not sure what lipstick to wear I always grab this lipstick. The formula is really creamy yet long lasting which is quiet hard to come by. I love the colour pink of this lipstick because it isn’t too bright and more of a sutble pink shade.

While I’ve been wearing a face makes this year more then lipsticks I couldn’t resist throwing my favourite lipsticks I’m my favourites series. Hope you like my picks and tomorrow is the last post in my favourites mini series so check that out!

Eyeshadow 2020 Favourites !

Today I’ll be showing you my top 5 eyeshadow palettes I’ve loved using in 2020! This countdown was really hard to narrow down but I think I did a good job lol.

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas X Revolution Sally palette, £15.00. This collaboration was by far my most favourite from 2020, makeup inspired by my favourite movie ever is just the best combination. In this range there were 2 eyeshadow palettes one for Jack and one for Sally I love both but the Sally palette I use the most. The colours are the perfect mix of colourful, glitter and yet still really wearable. The only thing about this palette is that there isn’t a mirror but you get double the shades which I obviously would much rather anyway.

2. Urban Decay Ultra Violet palette, £42.00. This palette was a real surprise curve ball because I didn’t even know it was being released until a few days before. I have a lot of Urban Decay palettes and my favourites are always the palettes with a specific colour story and the purple theme of this palette had me sold. This year I have loved playing with colour and the colours and glitter in this palette are so fun to play with. Plus I’m really into purple eyeshadow so obviously I was over the moon with this palette.

3. Maddie Ziegler X Morphe palette, £24.00. This palette surprised a lot of people since it was the collab we didn’t know we needed until we had it. Maddie designed her own palette with her favourite shades and I love the colours she’s picked. I think this palette is the perfect combo if you love nude shadows with pops of pastel shades, I actually use this palette way more than I thought I would in all honestly

4. Fenty Beauty Snap Shadow , Wine, £21.00. Around this time last year Fenty Beauty brought out snap shadows which are mini palettes you click together to make your dream duo. I love the colour selection in these palettes and recently they brought out a new palette called Wine which is basically burgundy/ warm toned nudes palette and I adore it! While this palette is small there are a lot of looks you can do with it and the shadows are so pigmented a little goes a long way.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Walk Of No Shame eyeshadow, £42.00. I adore Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadows as we all know and I have always wanted to try out this palette but it had been out of stock for a long time. Cut to August and it was finally avaliable so I picked it up!!! I was so excited to finally use it and the colours are so gorgeous and pigmented. This palette gives you a beautiful golden pink glitter look and I adore it!

There we have my eyeshadow palette picks, like I said this one was a hard pick because I have so many palettes I adore but these were the palettes that came to mind first! Hope you like my picks and I’ll see you tomorrow
