Me, when Icwatch The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina with judgment because the only queer romance in the show (Zelda & Marie) ended badly and the others didn't... Even Ambrose and Prudence became friends again after their catastrophic romantic relationship, Hilda had her happy ending, and even Sabrina and Nick met again in death. Furthermore, Zelda and Marie's relationship is probably the least well-developed in the show...
The personification of Death or one of it's heralds falling in love with a mortal woman is so terribly poetic. The one who takes life falling in love with one who has the potential to create it. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, The House of Usher and Agatha All Along did it in such a beautiful way. Yet, in all three cases it was a woman who either chose not to, or was doomed for motherhood to be the briefest, most painful period of their life and somehow that makes it even a stronger sentiment.
- Madeline chose not to have children to prevent seeing them suffer and meet gruesome ends.
- Zelda had Leticia taken away from her and Sabrina, whom she viewed and treated as a daughter her whole life, die before her eyes.
- Agatha had to beg Death to let Nicky live and the six years she had with him and his loss changed her so profoundly that the consequences and pain are still present almost 300 years later.
Death didn't love these women cause they were their opposites in potential, they loved them simply for who they were as a person.
