Going through hard times means a mandatory detour by my ultimate comfort fandom : Natm

So I finally took the opportunity to watch the fourth Natm movie : The Rise of Kahmunrah and I have some not very elaborated thoughts :

-Where the fuck is Ahkmenrah ??? His absence not only makes no sens but is also very weird ?? Because the idea of the tablet being back to the museum without him is dumb but him being there and just not appearing is even worse. It's not even like he's been redconed from this timeline because Theodore talks about Kahmunrah "little brother who have been chosen over him" without naming him...What did Ahk did to the directors to get this treatment ???

-Especially because I hated Kahmunrah in natm 2 but I thought that this movie could be a cool opportunity to see him interact with his little brother, who is, you know, the reason behind his character motivation, but nevermind.

-The fact that there is Ahk and Kahmun (? what even is his nickname ? ) dad's but not Ahk is crazy.

-The fact that there is Laa but not Ahk is crazy.

-Ok so there is Joan of Arc for some reason ? Why not I guess, french representation letsgo. Her riding an ostrich and having visions was kinda epic

-Love that they are keeping the "good divorced parents that are still on good term" representation with Larry and his ex-wife

-I actually quite like the idea of Nick being the next night guard even if it’s temporary. It makes so much sens that he would be really suited for the job

-Mcphee is still iconic

-Omg they gave Sacagawea a horse !!

-Big jedtavius girlie here, I would say that I'm not as mad about the Jed and Oct redesigns as the average fan ( I really like when my duo are designed with one being tall and lanky and the other being smaller and larger ). My only big no is Oct bowlcut’s, what is that ? It makes no sens and I hate it.

-I guess my sens of humor is dead because I find the movie mostly funny ( Being able to tell that some of the writers are from my generation is funny in of itself to me, like why Kahmun sounds like he knows what tiktok is)

-Hell yeah they re-did the iconic bus scene

-I was going to say that it was a cool idea to re-use the whole getting inside paintings thing but I hated that they used it to make half of the movie happen in Ancient Egypt

-Battle of Carthage mentionned ‼️ The little historic references and lore dumps here and there were really cool, this is what these movies should be about

-Theodore Roosevelt x Sacagawea is out and Joan of arc x Sacagawea is in

-Why is Octavius so sassy-mean to Jedediah ?? I'm sorry but this man would never talk to his husband like that post natm 1 ( I would even argue that he wouldn't ever, he felt a bit ooc to me... In this movie he acts a bit like he is the Straight man of the duo, when the whole appeal of jedtavius is that they are both equally idiots )

-Also Jed would never have let slide remarks like that, he is supposed to be witty and a bit immature

-The song for the obligatory dance scene at the end was a bit underwhelming BUT a conga line was really needed in the natm universe so it gets a pass
