☀️The Museum’s annual Manhattanhenge celebration returns this July! Join us as the setting Sun aligns with the grid of the city’s streets, creating a stunning visual spectacle. Friday, July 11, at 8:20 pm ET will be your last chance this summer to see the Sun "full on the grid"—the peak of Manhattanhenge—which means the Sun will appear in full, just above the horizon.
To mark the occasion, Associate Curator in the Department of Astrophysics Jackie Faherty will be giving a 3D presentation about the science and history behind Manhattanhenge. After the program, join us for a viewing event outdoors with live music from the Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra!
