FERRAN TORRES & MARCOS LLORENTE
Ferran Torres and Marcos Llorente
i have enough of ferran but who i hate even more are the barca "fans" who are openly and violently homophobic towards him (feels unreal to be writing this down) right now over the friendship with llorente. and homophobic in general. he can stay to annoy them i guess it couldn't be worse either way
People are dumb and bad and intolerant people will use any excuse to throw their hate and completely unwelcomed opinions. It always happens. Of course it is not an excuse and I think it's perfectly possible to criticise Ferran's political stance and at the same time criticise those who are stupid and are taking advantage of the situation to throw hate and throw their shitty and intolerant ideas.
I totally agree with you!!
haaaaaaate seeing marcos llorente on fyp like i'll just be going about my day and then suddenly 👱🏻🔵 the vampire lestat 🔵👱🏻
since when is saying hug your bros supposed to be progressive? It’s literally normal and almost more to do with mental health. Men need affection from other men it’s not that deep but you lot keep making it weird and twisting it into whatever narrative you want so you can complain and villainize people it’s so weird behaviour
Every single person with braincells knows it's something normal and shows a positive relationship with masculinity and helps break down the expectations about male friendships imposed by the system. I know it's normal and that's how men should be able to love their dear ones, openly and without any shame or restriction because according to society it is weird to be a man and hug and kiss and love your friends.
What I meant and what my ask meant was that he probably wasn't posting that explanation with the idea to help normalize the generalized concept of how male friendships should be, he did it to avoid tarnishing his image with what society associates healthy masculine frindships with which is homosexuality.
I am against that, I am against the idea that men can't love other men platonically, but if you look at what people said about them, you will notice how my thought is not the generalized one.
I love messages than reinforce deconstructing those mistaken concepts, so that's what I'm criticising, the fact that he focused in explaining it not from the genuine interest in giving visibility to healthy and NORMAL masculine friendships (which would have been the ideal thing to do because men need powerful figrues that help them escaoe the patriarchy) but to avoid being related to things he's not fond of. At least that's MY perception since he's right-winged.
And please do not talk without knowing because you just manage to look ridiculous, like, you didn't understand my post and that's okay, however you shouldn't be this rude. So, before being this rude stop to think and try to understand the post. Thank you.
I’m seeing Llorente putting this message out because he doesn’t want to be seen as gay or bisexual or have anything to do with LGBTQ community, yet everyone is praising him? This isn’t him being progressive or woke or inclusive, this is him being angry at his image being tarnished in his eyes.
To be honest I think the message itself is healthy and reinforces the validation of healthy, strong masculinity.
However it's true that because of the type of person he is, the fact that he decided to speak up about it and not other issues approaches him to actually trying to 'clean up' his image because he doesn't want to get involved with rumours of him being homosexual or bi. He is a conservatist, his speech does not come from genuine worry to help men escape the patriarchal stereotypes of relationships between men but from the worry of being seen as gay or bi.
I TOTALLY agree with you.

his first reply in that interview gave me a similar impression, although he did say he can't speak for Ferran but said he had a gf or was that fake? 😭😭 I don't really care about what this guy says so I didn't check
this instagram story highlighting fragile masculinity and instantly sexualised touches between men though I thought seemed nice but yeah maybe also defensive idk
