Makeda Thomas @ UWI's Carnival Studies Mas Colloquium 2014. Here renowned Caribbean dancer/scholar Makeda Thomas discusses the value of the dancing body to Mas performance and the idea of Mas as performance art. This short but compact talk delightfully raises questions about the embodiment of the spirit and meaning in mas performance. Makeda is nothing less than a poetic light in this. - Kenwyn Murray, Mas: History, Meaning & Development.
