my students and I made and gates out of NPN transistors today. I read someone made a whole computer from components like this (not logic ICs) MADNESS

Star: What is math camp?
Jackie: You go and do math stuff, and camp stuff.
Janna: And apparently have lots of sex?!?
Jackie: It wasn't good. Top notch math though.
I am in a math camp now. We are teaching polyhedrons in this class:)
Math Camp! Pascal's Triangle! Bee!
got over excited drawing this bee for my math camp students.

Last day of Math Camp!
We had fun this summer.
Sent some electronics kits home with a few kids who really seemed to take to it this summer. I’m excited to see what they make.
I wish someone had taught me electronics at this age— they learn so fast. And I’m confident my 6th graders will find mathematical logic easy since “and” “or” etc are physical realities to them.
I tried a new activity this summer. I was worried the shape toys would feel too “baby” — but combined with “build every Johnson Solid We can” (which is hard) it was just about right. With older kids I’d withhold the images and just tell them how many of each kind of face. I don’t have a good elementary explanation for why it’s sometimes possible to build an “invalid” solid— would love any suggestions on that.
Summers leaves give your kids ample time to do what they want. So they play all day long and go to a friend’s home and do a host of other things. But after a month or so, the boredom starts to set in.
In this post, you will come to know how the various grade levels can benefit from the summer math camp and others in the STEM.
