Happy Birthday to “Happy Birthday to Me”, released on this day in 1981. I remember passing the VHS at Red’s Video when I was a kid and being disturbed by it. When Anchor Bay released the DVD, I remember buying it and watching it on a sunny but cool fall afternoon. I ended up calling my friend Mike afterwards to discuss how bonkers the movie really is and how, if it was 20 minutes shorter, it would be perfect for a horror marathon. I feel it ranks up there with the original “My Bloody Valentine” and “April Fool’s Day”.
