When a bank robbery goes wrong Anne Heller flees with her wounded friend Jessup back to the secluded cabin she lived in as a child. Jessup succumbs to his wounds but the night after she buries him, Anne hears him knocking at the door. From here the story becomes one of monsters, body horror, shoot outs, and cults. I greatly enjoyed this book and became very attached to all the main characters. Bonus points for having a lesbian subplot and a cat that lives through the whole book despite the horrors!
