I get it. I get it now. like it makes sense. Foggy IMMEDIATELY pointing out Matt's good looks upon first meeting? Matt and Foggy living in a ROOM together, Matt giving his brightest smiles and loudest laughs at Foggy, Foggy's entire world crashing around him when he discovers Matt's secret identity and this world he'd hid from him and it basically feeling like the angstiest breakup scene when they weren't talking to each other or nothin, when they go back to talking and it's like two puzzle pieces are joined back together again... Foggy finding Matt, half conscious on the ground and cradles him in his lap DONT SPEAK TO ME

urchin specials no. 1-3

Long time no see! I have been busy the past few months but finally had time to get started on my urchins specials project.

What is this you might ask? :D

I've always wanted to try to bind a fanfic to look like a Penguin Classic. when I got some brilliant orange bookcloth in a mystery box order from Ratchfords I was even more intent on making this happen so I researched Penguin Classics designs through time and eventually came up with my own design which is not a direct copy of an existing design but nonetheless looks like it could've come out of a Penguin catalogue.

I combined design features of the vertical designs (vertical coloured stripes, prominent title, black vertical line, the publisher and imprint names in colour) and the horizontal designs (Gill Sans with letterspacing in three weights, bold, regular, and light with a rule below the title in colour). Further, just as the Pelican imprint has its own logo, I created a new logo for the series. the Penguin Specials series was a specialised non-fiction line separate, but part of, the great Penguin Classics imprint.

All of these inspirations culminated in my urchin classics (lowercase intentional).

the first three urchins are A6 sized bound in turquoise or yellow bookcloth (the orange will be reserved for A5 sized urchins), self-ended, and printed on 80gsm Xerox Cream. the cover paper and the dustjacket is 160gsm Canaletto Cream.

I need to do some finetuning on the jackets as the first three didn't come out right (the margins on the flap text aren't correct on any of them) but so far I'm really happy with how these came out. :D

When corrected for fics where they aren't the main couple or where the fake dating is not them fake dating each other, and filtering for completed fics only, that number drops to about 30 ish. and I read every single one of them over the past weeks/months/I don't know, time is a construct and these are my favourites

Tumblr's Anon Ask Changes!

Hi all!

Tumblr has apparently changed how Anon Asks work, and have made it impossible for logged-out users or non-users to use this feature. You must now either log in or sign up... which is not great.

Prompt:

Foggy is a security guard/cop/some form of law enforcement or generally in charge of keeping an eye on things. Someone (Matt) has been graffiti-ing various buildings around town with their signature tag- two bright red capital letter D’s, each with a devil horn-esque arrow coming from the top. One day Foggy is on patrol and catches the mysterious perpetrator in the act.

It’s up to you how they both react, whether Matt is still blind, whether he’s blind but not Daredevil, etc. Feel free to use any/all of my sample text below.

“So what’s up with the tagging, man? Wouldn’t you rather be hanging out at home rather than sneaking around with a backpack full of spray paint this late at night?”

Foggy hears the man laugh from inside his black hooding, hood pulled down enough to keep his face from being visible in the dark (Foggy thinks it’s a man based on his physical build, but he realizes that’s society’s hetero-normative conditioning at work).

“Maybe I’m bored, maybe I like the thrill of trying not to get caught.” The man shrugs. “Maybe I’m angry at the world and this is the healthiest way of coping that I know.”

His response is oddly honest in a raw way and Foggy isn’t sure what to do with the depth of emotion he senses is lurking just beneath the surface, so he falls back on his patented Nelson “I’m not sure what how to handle this situation, so instead I’ll just fall back on humor.

“Well, there are worse things you could be doing I suppose. If you’ve filled your nightly quota, do you want to come inside and have some coffee? I wasn’t kidding when I said it was cold out here.” He shivers a little for effect.

The tagger’s head jerks up and Foggy catches enough of a glimpse under his hood to see a surprised look on his face. “You aren’t going to arrest me?”

Foggy does a little hand-wavy thing that he thinks encapsulates ‘ehh, fuck it’ pretty well. “I’m more concerned with robbers and muggers, they don’t pay me enough to arrest your garden variety graffiti-ers.” He frowns. “Graffiti-ests? Whatever. Point is from what I’ve seen you stick to back alleys and out of the way places rather than tagging the front of buildings like some people like to do, and I’m freezing my ass off out here. Want to come inside?”

heya tuesday here!! so. soo. i recently read good omens (and im watching the show thing(fuck its so good djfih)). anyway. ive been reading that and i know you arent /as/ into it as you used to be and stuff but just. consider ok: crowley and aziraphale = murderdock and da!foggy. just. theres that resemblance. i dont really have anything else to add other than--i just really wanted to point out the thing that came up in my head-- anyway, have a great week, i hope all your uni(??) stuff goes good!!
