Been focused on other things. I don’t get a lot of notes anymore so my dopamine hit for posting is gone. I’m just writing my original stuff now. They are still around and I’m commissioning a bunch of pictures with them!

Mauve vs Wit

So, I feel I should divulge something I've been working on for a bit. It's been stewing around in my brain. Let it be known, here and wide, that my brain is just a stew pot. A nice mulligan of ideas that I toss in their like spice and let sit. Kelsier, he's like a nice roast. Mauve is carrots and Mare is the celery. You just gotta let it simmer.

Anyways, Mauve and Wit are an interesting dynamic I've thought about for months. Mauve does visit Roshar, at a request from Kelsier, who was unnerved by reports from Roshar of his agents doing...less then ethical things. It's minor things; the truly atrocious shit Mraize does isn't until RoW, and Kelsier isn't all that upset if nobles die.

So, begrudgingly, Mauve heads to Roshar to oversee them. She does not care for the planet, having visited before, but in the cognitive realm.

Anyways. She arrives around the time Shallan arrives at the war camps, and stays until the end of RoW. Mauve is excellent at subterfuge, surveillance, and acting. She tails Shallan at a distance, keeping an eye on her. (She's very impressed with her, but that's for another time.)

Of course, Wit recognizes Mauve for what she is: A world hopper, not just a fashionable Shin woman. And Wit hates the Ghostbloods. He has a feeling of who Mauve is; he's aware of her. And thus, they chat. I'm leery of writing Hoid; he would have biting comments that while aren't outwardly insulting, would be rather nasty, and I feel I'm not clever enough for them. Mauve would be similar. She has a simmering dislike of Hoid, having heard of what he did to Kelsier.

Eventually, she meets Jasnah, and it's an amusing encounter to say the least.
