Jen Reimer & Max Stein Jen Reimer and Max Stein’s collaboration is influenced by a shared fascination with reverberant spaces and urban soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from the hidden harmonies and secret rhythms present in sonic environments, they create immersive multichannel sound works for horn, live electronics and field recordings: conceived, composed, rehearsed and performed in the spaces themselves.
Past performances have taken place in Montréal at the New City Gas Co. building, Square Victoria Metro and the St-Urbain underpass as part of the 2011 Suoni per Il Popolo festival. Their performance in the St-Urbain underpass this year will celebrate the release of their first LP; a compilation of two live performances.
Their record launch is in collaboration with Actions! and Suoni per Il Popolo.
