Mayvian is a Writing/Art challenge centred around Bird Hybrids / Avians that starts on the 4th of May for this year (2026) and runs until the end of the month. Each week has an overarching prompt alongside 3 Sub-Prompts that you can build off of. The Sub-Prompts do not have to be followed and are merely there for those who want to use them!
You can participate with both writing and art, alongside other forms of media if you want to! Fanart and Fanfic is allowed and encouraged, as is OC art/writing. However, this is a Non-AI Prompt list. The use of AI is heavily discouraged and will not be reblogged. Any language is allowed as well.
While the minimum number works for completion is four, the level of completion is entirely up to the individual, and you do not have to participate for every single week.
This year’s list is a little late due to technical issues, but it’s here now. 2026 is the first year running and I hope to continue it for future years as well.
