I’m bouta talk my shit again.

MBTI Anon here, and this one is long because I cared more about this than I thought I would.

I saw the comparison of Tsukishima to Megumi from JJK and I have some THOUGHTS! It took forever because it’s midterm season and I wanna die. As someone who deeply loves both these characters, I think it’s my responsibility to clear up the confusion between their personalities.

Tsukishima Kei is an INTJ (acc PDB)

And Megumi is an ISTJ (acc PDB)

So... that... just means Megumi is more sensing, taking the world in through the 5 senses whereas Tsukki just is more intuitive??? Like??? Is that even a real difference?

Yes. Very much. Let me explain.

So first off, based on the first ask that was sent forever ago and I can’t find and link, I totally see the similarities in how their characters are set up and presented. And there are many similarities between these two types (obvs) but the differences are not so small that they can be dismissed.

Since Khuê prefers Megumi I’m going to be listing ISTJ qualities, and comparing them as opposed to the other way around or swapping between points so often that I give y’all whiplash.

ISTJs like Megumi will tend to be more responsible, dutiful, and strong-willed. A great example of this, is how Tsukki half-assed volleyball for ages, while Megumi went all in even though he never really wanted to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer. He kinda did it for him and his sister.

ISTJs also tend to be less rational. INTJs have an extreme sense of rationality and logic knowing what works, what doesn’t, and what is and is not their responsibility. And an unfortunate common trait of ISTJs is that they’re not only irrational, but they’ll usually irrationally and stubbornly stick to the opinion that they are to blame for.... everything ever. It’s their duty or something and so they’ll blame themselves for any time there are problems even if they were not involved. Megumi and Tsukki fit their respective types to a T. Megumi, blaming Tsumiki’s whole situation on himself and ONLY himself. Tsukki also takes his sibling trauma to heart, but it never seems like he blames himself for Akiteru’s situation. So while they both have similar major life moments guiding their current selves, the way they reacted is different. and our reactions to tough times are what define us as people.

However I do have a side note that I don’t think you’ll love, so let me just say this:

ISTJs and INTJs tend to run very similarly in relationships.

I’m sorry. But it’s true.

Caring a lot about the “rituals” or having a steady set routine with a partner. Both tend to favor responsible (as in none of that reckless passion) relationships with people who they had relationships with prior to dating (friends, colleagues, coworkers, etc.).

Both tend to lose track of the emotions of their partner, especially when they’re in a worse mental state. INTJs are just generally romantically clueless, but when they do get a clue they usually internalize and get introspective as opposed to expressing themself. They’ll only express themselves when they fully believe relationships have potential and might otherwise neglect their romantic relationships. While ISTJs have a tendency to forget their partners feelings together, feeling they have to “win” every argument to prove their worth and instead it just causes their relationships to fracture. (If someone “wins” in any relationship.... everyone involved loses. Because that causes damage to the relationship if there’s a power imbalance.)

Also, in relationships, ISTJs are more committed to their “duty” and would be more likely to stick to responsible “rituals” that they like because they’re sensing, while INTJ would be more likely to notice if their partner did not enjoy their routine, and find new ways and build new routines that were more exciting/agreeable to their partner.

it’s actually funny how the only two members who are still currently sharing a room are the only two real extroverts of the group (jimin being an enfj and hobi being an esfj), I mean tae is also technically an extro but enfps are known to be the most “intro” of all the extroverts, also needing way more way time alone than any of the others and all, so he’s basically an ambivert really :) (and I’m sorry to bother you with this again but it’s just fascinating to me idek why gajswushbsh)

Yes, I agree, Jimin and Hoseok are definitely the most extroverted of the group, Jimin especially seems to really need people around him a lot of the time in order to feel good (or as Namjoon would put it, a lot of love and attention). I was actually going to write about how Jimin was lucky to have Hoseok as they’re both extroverts in the tags but then I was like.. what about Tae? But that explains it! It definitely makes sense that he’s less extroverted than they are.

According to PDB Sakusa is an ISTP, and you are an ISFJ.

You’re both introverted, meaning your ideas for comfort, recharging, etc will be the same, in wanting to either be alone, with each other, or with very close friends.

You both take in the world the same way, through the senses. You see things, hear them, etc and that’s how you learn about the world around you.

Now, he is a T to your F and a I_ _ P to your I _ _ J. Both of these will likely create tension between the two of you, especially when paired with each other. It’s a love formed through day-to-day habits, and it’s a love that falls into place in its own time. ISFJ, only improve with time. ISFJs may be harder to love at first, whether because of their introverted way of living, or through their judgmental appearance. But with time, they become amazing partners who develop a fantastic sense of “home” and have their best qualities emerge with time.

So I predict, Meg and Sakusa would likely have some tension upon meeting, but if they stuck around each other, they’d grow to have a deep respect for one another, coupled with a sincere love with a very stable foundation. It’d be a remarkably healthy relationship (if given the time to get there). And since both of these MBTIs tend to be patient, there should be no issue!

This is a fun one. Oikawa is an ENFJ (acc PDB). You, Meg, are a lovely ISFJ. Let’s get into this.

So quickly summing up what these mean, Oikawa is an ENFJ, which means he’s extroverted, relies on intuition, is more emotional in his decision making than logical, and is a bit judging and it’s more natural for him to be closed off than open.

So let's’ get into how this relationship works. There are some big problems here, but it actually makes for a really fun dynamic and one with so much potential!

His extroversion to your introversion is going to create some serious tension. One of you will always feel like you’re sacrificing or compromising. The biggest goal in your relationship should make these sacrifices feel equal, each of you giving as much time as you take. So you’ll likely have to push some of your boundaries and go out even when you don’t want to, and Oikawa will have to give up some nights out, or just accept he has to go without you to give you some of that time you need. The easy fix to this is being in love. Honestly, if you love the other person, spending time with them is usually enough to make these sacrifices worth it. But, at the beginning, when he takes you out to probably very interactive, public dates… it’s hard. And when you ask him to stay in for a whole weekend? It sounds great, but he might get a little antsy.

But with some work on communication from both parties, this is a relationship that is filled with support, and an easy understanding of each other. Which makes you polar opposites. So let’s discuss this. I’m one of the hoes who likes mbti the way some bitches love zodiac. I’m a whore for that personality shit.

So let’s see. You’re introverted to Atsumu’s extroversion. Meaning your energy is gained from yourself/time alone/ time with people you are REMARKABLY close with. Atsumu’s is gained from social interaction.

You’re a sensing to Atsumu’s intuition. You take in insformation through the senses. What you perceive. What you hear, see, smell, etc. Atsumu learns and takes information in intuitively.

You’re more feeling while Atsumu is more thinking (lmao that’s a shocker jk jk) which basically means you will make decisions based off how you feel. Either emotionally or how your FEEL theyll affect others. Atsumu will make more “logical” decisions. While this sounds bad for you, it essentially boils down to you typically being more empathetic and in tune with your emotions as well as others.

You are more judging while Atsumu is more perceiving. This does not mean you’re judgmental. It just means you come off judgemental based on how people perceive you, but you’re actually very open. This has to do with the I in your type. So E__J are as judgemental as they appear and E__P are as perceptive and open as they appear. But this last letter fits with the I for you and I’s are essentially the opposite. Because the I hides your true way of dealing with the world. So while you come off more judgemental, you and Atsumu have the same open embrace for the world.

So what does that mean? Well you have different ways of existing, but since you’re both very open to the world (thank god for that last letter there) you two are open to each other, and your differences. Alright, Tsukishima Kei is an INTJ (acc. PDB). Meaning he is introverted, intuitive, thinking, and not as judgmental as you might expect from his appearance.

Any time you have two I_ _ J’s together… the world is happy. The introverted, and seemingly judgmental, but truly open minds make for a wonderful dynamic. There’s an understanding of needs that aren’t easily met in other relationships. Both parties being a bit judgmental, but caring more about being open-minded and seeing new possibilities makes it so it’s hard to be out of sync with each other. Even if you don’t agree every time, this understanding makes it possible for both of you to always know and understand what page the other person is on.

It’s those middle two characteristics that’ll make this more challenging. ISFJs are sensing as opposed to intuitive. A lot of what Tsukishima might /assume/ is clear and obvious probably doesn’t line up for you. INTJ’s fall more heavily into this than most. ESPECIALLY since he assumes you’re on the same page (because, usually, you are). While you two are probably in sync about when to leave parties, when something is wrong because people are scared of the new, and the likes, everyday decisions can be difficult. INTJ’s tend to be a bit more stubborn, and have less of an understanding about a lot of romantic gestures. (This is code for: If you like being spoiled with flowers, chocolates, sweet texts throughout the day… INTJ is not for you. They can change with time, and might for the right partner, but the ideal way for them to live is to not invest in those activities, and instead let the daily routine of their affection be more than enough to satisfy you. And I think Tsukishima really fits into this) He will think his love for you is obvious. That’s not always true. (the best way for this to work is having both parties have the same love language. Because INTJ is not likely to change, and ISFJ is not likely to perceive the small ways INTJs try to express themselves if they don’t line up there).

His thinking approach to the world, as opposed to your feeling approach, is really smooth because of your surrounding characteristics. Since he’ll intuitively be pretty aware of your emotional state, he’s actually amazing at coming up with ways to take care of you. He saves you when you’re trapped, and it feels rude to leave. However, when you need someone to hear you out… if you want to vent… he doesn’t get it. It solves nothing, is a waste of time and energy, and is just not useful. So he’ll be one of the ones trying to solve your problems instead of listening to them. You, on the other hand, help him through feelings he doesn’t know how to navigate and help teach him empathy. You’re excellent when he’s overwhelmed. Whether he’s overwhelmed by conflicting ideas that both seem right or overwhelmed by emotions he doesn’t understand or overwhelmed because he’s not emotionally caring for himself (which is common in INTJs) you are a savior. However, you sometimes bring up something that was previously overwhelming him, to check in on him. This is terrible. That was already solved (by his logic), so why are you wasting your time (and now his) on it? It’s so bad. The key to this is finding some balance for both of you. Learning to understand each other better and communicating what is/isn’t working and how you can both do better. But this should be super easy. Most INTJs insist on 2 things in a romantic relationship. One, Intellectual compatibility and depth. And two, honest, open communication. They don’t want to have relationships without these. So, communication will flow between the two of you. You’re both trying.

The good thing is, both ISFJs and INTJs are incredibly loyal. ISFJs are loyal because of their emotional side and their empathy. INTJs are loyal because they don’t invest any energy into relationships where they don’t already feel safe, trusted, and understood. Because of this, they feel strong bonds in every relationship they have. Since you’re both committed to each other, and trusting of each other, despite the bumps along the way, there’s enough genuine care for each other so you two can get through it.
