The McGavock family cemetery near Wytheville, Virginia, features carved sandstone monuments dating from 1812 through the 1830s.   It was placed on the National Register Of Historic Places in 1980.

Obama Visits

Dear tumblr, I've had a busy week and I haven't been able to blog and vent to you like I had anticipated. I have so much to tell you about regarding the fun things I've done this week and in january as a whole. By the way, Obama came to my city today - Nashville and named us the fastest state improving the education system in the whole country. Haaaai. Shout out to the academies of Nashville for helping student figure out what careers they want to join via job shadowing, courses taken, and internships! The POTUS is about to arrive at my old high school. I will say, the principal there now has done such an outstanding job of turning around the school that he really deserves the recognition that he's (hopefully) getting. My brother is up on the stage, ahahahaa.
