I have this Starnovamora headcanon in which the three of them, instead of wearing engagement rings, wear earrings since they all wear/wore them at some point in canon. They’re always fighting and rings could get damaged by physical combat and/or the constant blasts, so they went for this option.
They have three sets of three earrings, each with a gem from Earth that represents one of them. The yellow diamond represents Quill (the Sun), emerald for Gamora (well, it’s her color, even in her clothes) and sapphire for Rich (”blue blazes”, get it?).
Each one wears their respective gem on one ear and their partners’ gems on the other. This way, no matter how far away they are in the galaxy, they always feel close to each other.
