Say hello to "Gretchen", an MD-10-10F operated by Federal Express.
In terms of active DC-10s, Aircraft N366FE is the second oldest DC-10 in FedEx's fleet, the third oldest DC-10 in the world, and is the 8th built DC-10 (first flight: 19 May 1971)!!
"Lucas" is a former United Airlines DC-10-10 delivered in 1981, then transferred to FedEx in 2000. It was later converted into an MD-10-10F at some point.
The aircraft has been active for 33 years.
Love the first two shots!
Introducing "Shelby", a 41-year-old MD-10-10F.
It entered service in 1972 under Delta Airlines, then moved to United Airlines in 1975. FedEx picked up the plane in 1997, but it wasn't converted into a freighter until 2001.
