Nice to Meat You

There was some sort of Evil Regal convention where Lana was going to be there, her husband was going to be there, and there was going to be a big party. In the dream, in order to get tickets to the Evil Regal party, you had to register yourself and have ID (I think it was a 21+ party just because there was going to be alcohol there). So, I went to a DMV-looking place. Some Gerard Way song was playing (I’m not into his solo thing, but I heard Gerard singing and it wasn’t an MCR song), but some guy with a Mohawk goes, “Man, I miss that band he used to be in.” Then he changed it to Fall Out Boy and at that point I said, “You have great taste in music,” receiving a thumbs up from him. We got into a conversation because I was wearing Derek’s symbol (teen wolf) on my shirt. “My friend loves that show,” he said. That’s when I looked at his name tag and it said Tanner Hoechlin. I looked at him and I said “Your friend, huh. Your friend, like your brother?” And he looked down at his name tag and blushed. It was cute. And he nodded his head and to recover he asked me what my name was, if what I did (we ended up going to the same university), and if I wanted to hang out later (which, why the hell not). So, after I got everything for the Evil Regal convention, we were directed to go to some lake house. Lana’s husband came out and led us to a shed and left. They had a maid in there and a very pretty blonde with sun kissed skin. I was still wearing my Derek shirt and the blonde also complemented it. We also got into a conversation and she asked what university I went to and she said that her brother goes to the same one, which I thought was funny because apparently Hoechlin went to it too. Lana’s husband comes back with a tray with what looks like body parts. “We’re going to be making meat muffins!” The blonde looked away and the maid started to shake. Lana’s husband threw down some recipe to follow and left again. The blonde came over and led me away. “Those are body parts of fans that have come to see Lana.” I instantly got worried because if this is what he’s doing to fans, would be hurt her? The blonde took me inside the lake house and Lana was outstretched on a sofa and looked out of it. The blonde shook her head as if to say “don’t talk to her.” So we went into another room and she basically said how Tanner was her brother and Tyler would be coming soon to get her. Apparently her job at the lake house was to make desert for the convention. Lana’s husband came in and got mad at the blonde for allowing me to come in and he started yelling at me. Lana slowly walked in and in a low voice said, “she is welcome here.” And he turned and walked away. I looked at the blonde, who led me back outside, and said, “can Tyler take all of us? Those fans are going to be killed.” In so many words, she replied that he would fit as many fans as he could. Lana came out to apologize and the blonde and I told her the plan and asked if she wanted to leave with us. “No. He wouldn’t hurt me. I’m too important in his plans.” Tyler Hoechlin showed up, took me and the blonde and could only take one or two other fans before Lana’s husband came out to try and stop us. Tyler’s sister (the blonde) cried as we left the other fans behind, but there unfortunately was nothing we could do. I looked behind me to see Lana standing there with the other fans as they screamed and begged for help. Then I woke up.

Baked Asian chicken muffin (meatball) lettuce wraps with mushrooms, bok choy and sugar snap peas

Parmesan Gluten Free Meat Muffins (adapted from this meatloaf recipe):

1 lb ground turkey

1 egg

1/4 cup gluten free breadcrumbs

1/2 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp dried thyme

1/2 tsp dried oregano

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, grated

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp ground black pepper

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 (4 oz) can tomato paste

1/2 cup marinara pasta sauce

1/2 cup shredded Italian blend cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two muffins pans with nonstick spray. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the marinara sauce and Italian cheese blend. Divide evenly into the muffin pans. 

Cover each muffin with a spoonful or two of marinara sauce. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Remove from the oven and top each muffin with shredded cheese (I used more than the 1/2 cup). Place them back in the oven and bake until the cheese melts.

Remove from the oven allow to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

I am so disappointed in myself right now. Instead of making a whole big meatloaf, I could have made little meat muffins to share with everyone. Can you imagine???
