“Just wait here for a moment Joonmyeon-ah, grandma will be right back,” the old woman said to her grandson, handing him the trashbag to hold. They were in her basement to clean up some trash, and being the good grandson that he was, Joonmyeon had said he would help. He was eight years old after all, and really good at cleaning! At least his mother was always happy when he cleaned up his bedroom. To tell the truth, Joonmyeon was afraid of the basement, but if he was with someone then it was fine. But now his grandmother had left him there alone, and the half-darkness seemed even darker now that he was alone. He stood perfectly still, waiting for her to come back, when he heard a noise that sent his heart up into his throat. He whipped around, and saw a dark shadow cross the darkest part of the hallway behind him. Joonmyeon screamed in panic and ran up the stairs, dropping the bag in the stairs
