Dragon Parents - The Badass Power Couple

Khadagan Dotharl and Menel Dotharl AKA Jacques’ parents. Sadly they are both no longer around (Detailed in Khadagan’s information on his solo piece) because they are very much dead. I wanted to have them both together on one post.

Second volume of “The Faraway Paladin” was a great read and I totally fell in love with Menel. Such a good boy.

Dragon Mom - Menel Dotharl (Mitsuno Uzuka) 

And now Jac’s mother has been finished and I cannot say enough just how much I love her body shape and how that turned out. As I mentioned in the WIPs for her I wanted her to be fuller and more curvy, I wanted her to look mature while also having the image that she could kick your ass regardless. And I think (and hope) that I pulled that off.

Mitsuno Uzuka also known as Menel Dotharl (Menel being the name that Khadagan gave her after they become bonded mates) is a Raen/Xaela cross and for the most part she is a perfect combination of the two though her scales tend to differ depending on the section of body they are present on. For the most part her arms are the while scales of the Raen with flecks and freckling of black in them (Think of them as a Cow Reticulated Pythons scales with the black flecks in them) and they are more of an opal pearlescent coloration that shiny brilliantly in the light (reflecting all sorts of pastel colors in the right lighting). These scales are also very much in a tiger like pattern and can also be found on her back (She has big bold tiger like stripes on her back for her scales as well) though the ones on her back really mix up the finer scales of her arms with the more plated scales on her legs and tail.

The scales on her legs are the opposite of those on her arms being more plated and are also a very deep rich obsidian in color while they hold a very ‘glittery’ almost sparkled effect to them with an array of iridescent colors that make one think of a ‘galaxy’ of sorts. Like with the scales on her arms, these scales also have white flecks and even pied patches on them. Her tail is also these heavy plated scales with a sort of crocodilian set of scutes along the back of it. Basically with her scales I wanted a mix of patterns that were inspired by tigers stripes as well as some heavier plated scales and the mix of colors for her as well.

Two sets of horns with one being white and the other being black. Also let it be known that Dragon Mom here is about 6′5 and can easily wield a massive ass great sword (She’s the reason behind why Jacques is a DRK and uses swords) and she also likely could use one of those massive axes to. Dragon mom was a warrior just like Dragon Dad is and if you pissed her off enough she would crush you. If you were lucky she would just crush your head between her thighs... if you weren’t she’d crush it with her sword.

Obviously not FFXIV related but I wanted to share. For those curious, Menel is Jacques’ mother (At least from the FF7 story) and I am debating if I want to make her canonly his mother in the FFXIV universe as well. Things will be changed obviously, she’s a Raen in this world’s story but I could probably do a lot of tweaking to figure things out.

Menel herself was also a dragon which is how Jacques got his power to transform originally in the story he is from. So I dunno... things could work. Also yes, I named the Palico Sephiroth... because REASONS okay.

I’ll be getting to the asks you wonderful folks have sent in soon! I’m just trying to figure out how to respond to some and I’ve also been doped up on pain killers since I’ll be getting a Root Canal soon ;^;
