Cullen’s history is nothing to write home about, typical family, typical schooling, typical everything... until he hit the age of nineteen and decided to live on his own. After nearly a month of living on his own, he became a recluse, his family finally deciding enough was enough when they found him in his unkempt apartment in the middle of a panic attack. Afterwards, Cullen was sent to Plywood to rehabilitate and gain the help he needed to integrate properly into the ‘real’ world.

Cullen is often described as being a bad mix between anxious and antisocial, usually preferring his own company to that of others. While he can be friendly, it’s hard to get him out of his hard shell and open up properly to the people around him... but he tries his hardest. Cullen is a gaunt figure, bordering on worryingly thing, with sharp cheekbones, sunken cheeks and eyes, and messy, unbrushed red hair. His skin easily burns having not seen much of sunlight in the last few months, and is often decorated with bruises and bumps -- he doesn’t know where they come from either. He has thin, drawn lips that are often cracked and peeling. Cullen wears loose sweaters or shirts, comfortable slacks (sometimes pj pants) and his Plywood issued, thin slippers. 

He, much like Kakena, is a hard figure to approach but only because he tries his best to avoid being seen and interacted with. He tends to spend most of his time in the recreation room, watching the old model train go round and round under the plexy glass covering. Cullen tends to be blunt though has to fight through a near permanent stutter and lapses of sudden silence.

Kakena comes from a long line of medical professionals with both their parents being doctors (of differing kinds), so it was no surprise that they ended up being a nurse. What was surprising was that they applied to work at Plywood, a once prestigious psychiatric hospital, and not mention it to anyone.

Kakena is often described as melancholy, lonesome, withdrawn and someone who gets things done but doesn’t reach beyond. With their piercing, stunning, dark eyes and often perturbed expression, most patients and fellow nurses tend to avoid the often wide-eyed and withdrawn nurse. Their face is drawn and elegant, all soft curves and gentle plains, often highlighted by their beautifully dark ochre skin and nicely trimmed eyebrows. Kakena often paints their plump lips in shades of black and deep reds. One can usually find them donning latex gloves but when the gloves come off, they have manicured nails painted in neutral shades.

They are a hard to approach figure, seeming withdrawn even to those that they maintain a friendly relationship with. They do not seek companionship and seem to merely want quiet… and to return to Plywood’s eerie basement. They tend to be evasive, though speak their mind when need be, they will not approach the MC very often if at all.

Plywood Asylum for Health and Wellbeing.

Imposing, old, bleak. Plywood was founded in 18xx by J.R. Plymouth, a person of renown in the area due to their vast amount of wealth and dedication to the wellbeing of others. They lived and maintained Plywood until their abrupt disappearance in late 18xx. A statue has since been erected in the front, surrounded by a multitude of purple hyacinths, mint and Great Blue Lobelias, with a plaque worn by weather and age. 

Plywood has since been taken over and renovated into what it appears as today. It is run and owned by the rich and eccentric Dr. Eustace Orvil, who people from the nearby town of Pinewood, claim arrived out of nowhere with a deed to the building and the land. He is often looked upon with suspicion though no one can quite pinpoint why. Orvil, alongside his close colleagues, tend to the mental and physical wellbeing of the people who reside in Plywood... however, it is well known that some of the patients don’t belong there.

Trails Lead Home: Trails Lead Home is an (overly ambitious) fantasy game with an emphasis on relationships and starting anew. The aim is to hopefully make the player's choices matter in some way and to affect the characters and world around them. The end goal is to create a story that tells the tale of new found family and learning to be okay with starting one's life over.

Metanoia: Metanoia is a game about self discorvery and self betterment. Despite one version of the definition of metanoia, this game will have no spiritual or religions undertones, instead focusing on the self and the mind. This game is a heavy WIP and going through rigerous replanning due to some of the heavy topics being explored within the game.
