So the kids from the Meteor Man movie gang grew up and did the Superbowl halftime show. It's nice to see retired gang members turn positive.

Made this lil infographic for my students for the first day of Black History Month! 

Day 1: Superheroes! Featuring Black Panther, Falcon, Storm and Meteorman

T’challa, aka Black Panther. First created by Jack Kirby of Marvel Comics in 1966, the Black Panther marks the beginning of Black representation in mainstream comics.

Second image: Text on the left hand side of the image states: Sam Wilson, aka The Falcon. The first Black superhero featured on a comic, from Marvel comics 1969.

On the right hand side of the image, a cover page featuring the Falcon. He is in his original red and white outfit, and he is seen flying across the page, down a street. 

Below this, text on the right hand side reads: Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. (technically) The first Black female superhero, debuted by Marvel comics in 1975. She was preceded by the Butterfly from Atomic Comics, which no longer exists.
