In the endless, concrete-grey conformity of Vancouver’s Metrotown district, a beautiful, red rhododendron fights back the only way it can - with a dazzling display of color. Wouldn’t you know it, it’s growing in front of the Public Library.

いつも買ってたベイカリーが今年は作らないっぽかったので、新しいとこ(Mon Paris Patisserie)で買ってみたよガレット・デ・ロワ。他店より安くて大きくてパイ地もサクサク、中味たっぷりで美味しかった。ちゃんと王冠とフェーヴ付き。結局２日目に息子が小鳥フェーヴを見つけたので王様になった(ぐやじい)。 We got a Galette des Rois from Mon Paris Patisserie this year. It was really good!
