Home.

It didn’t matter what enemies Kakashi had to face. Who he had to cut through to reach his goal. He would succeed. He’d get Shikaku back to the village.

“I’ve got you,” he whispered once more, eyes darting to the side when Bull joined the group once again, checking the hound for any injuries. “Just leave it to me.”

Shikaku allowed himself to sleep; finally feeling reasonably safe for the first time in what felt like ages. He was completely physically and mentally exhausted.

The injured man woke up slowly with a groan. His lung was really starting to hurt, and now it was keeping him awake. "Where.. are we?" He had many more questions than that, but oxygen was precious and painful to attain at the minute; and this was the only important question to him right then.

How long until they would be home and safe? What time was it? It was dark but was it night or almost morning?

OH I HAVE AN IDEA-

One that requires a playlist and several animatics I do not currently have the time to make.

(If you've read my little huntr/x MIA drabbles where the girls have been missing for 3 weeks and suddenly announce a comeback and The Saja Boys know it's not huntr/x as they should be- it's for that universe)

Basically basing each animatic off of a preexisting kpop song that in universe is released by huntr/x or the saja boys.

Atm for obvious reasons we have "MIA" by katseye which was the basis for the entire thing

The plot would be the saja boys and Co trying to get through the honmoon into the demon world to save huntr/x from Gwi-ma and stop them releasing the album that is gonna cause the apocalypse/dystopian future where humans r like cattle for gwima.

Bobby is just a lil guy who manages to put all his skills for being a manager and love and passion for his girls into trying to find the album and where things are being uploaded from so he can delete them

Celine has a role too- I'm actually really excited to expand and develop her(no she's not an antagonist.)

When Shikaku failed to response to his words, Kakashi knew it was bad. Usually there would be a witty quip about ‘taking too long’, or a scolding waiting for him for going in alone.

Today, there was nothing. Just wheezes from the smoke that filled the room, and coughs.

“They did a number on you,” he sighed, closing the distance to Shikaku and kneeling at his side. A quick glance told him that Shikaku had been out through the wringer during his time in this place.

If he could kill the enemies all over again he would. It’s what they deserved for hurting one of his precious people.

“Come on,” he whispered, reaching out to grab Shikaku’s wrist so he could heave him onto his back. “Let’s get you back to the village,”

The flames flashed outside the door, allowing Shikaku a glimpse at his rescuer. He managed to spot some grey hair before darkness settled around the cell once again.

"Sensei.." He coughed, his voice hoarse from screaming.

It's okay, Sensei is here to save me... I'm going home..

Shikaku allowed the nin to take his wrist and move him onto their back.

Sitting beside Shikaku’s bed, Kakashi watched over him as he rested up from his mission. Three broken ribs, a punctures lung, multipule lacerations and bruises.

The doctors had said He was lucky he made it out alive, but Kakashi refused to believe in luck.

This was pure stubbornness of Shikaku’s part, and he had never appreciated that stubborness so much in his life.

“You really got yourself into it this time, old man,” he sighed. “I almost-“

The words caught in his throat, the thought too much for him to vocalize.

Shikaku had started waking up a few minutes ago; but the painkillers they had him on made his head fuzzy.

It almost felt like he was floating, which was still much better than he had been feeling previously. It wasn’t until he heard Kakashi speak that he managed to break out of the grogginess and slowly open his eyes.

“‘M not old..” Half mumbling out of tiredness and half from the swelling in his face; Shikaku managed to smile.

“I’m safe. Thank you”

Drip… Drip… Drip…

Shikaku groaned as managed to open his good eye and try to look around the damp, dark cell. The other was swollen so badly from the beatings that he hadn’t been able to open it for quite a while. He honestly wasn’t even sure just how long he had been there for now. There were no gaps to let any light into the cell, and Shikaku surmised that the cell either had a sound barrier on it, or the walls were just that thick that he couldn’t hear anything.

He peered over to one side of the cell where the dripping noise was coming from. Was it water? Should he risk drinking it to find out? Probably not.. He couldn’t even see where the leak was coming from anyway. Not that he had any strength to move even if he could. Shikaku coughed harshly once again, wincing as his broken ribs dug into him further and he tasted iron on his lips.

I don’t have much longer… But at least I didn’t give them any information. I’ll die before I betray my village… His thoughts trailed off as he started to lose consciousness once again; his back slumping against the cold stone wall.
