Why yes, they talk about how, despite it’s flaws, at least it wasn’t woke, and thus, better than some recent superhero movies.
Imagine being this “redpilled”without any self-awareness.
I used to like these guys, in the past they would make some investigative journalism videos about the dumpster fire that was fant4stic, the constant firing of star wars directors during the mid 10′s, the weird creative license the recent star trek shows have, they even managed to make some great restrospective videos about the Spiderman movies, He-Man and other 80′s franchises.
What I liked about these guys, was how the managed to do analytical videos about the inner workings of hollywood, the compromises these directors agreed to make the movies they wanted, how making a movie is pretty much a gamble, which is why in more recent times, movie studioos make bland, crowd pleasers with big budgets, instead of something more experimental in a smaller scale, which helped putting into perspective the recent decline in blockbuster movies, and the rise of streaming platforms.
But around 2019/2020, they started to have some... questionable takes,their videos stopped being scripted or edited, they became more improvised, on the spot, which wouldn’t be bad if they actually were informative, but they just showed their true colors.
Just another “culture war” channel get_woke_go_broke kind of deal.

Great take on the trend of “subverting expectations” from Kamran Pasha and why it doesn’t work:
“As a good writer you should surprise people, it shouldn’t end the way the person thinks it’s going to end, but it should fulfill them emotionally with an ending that they didn’t see exactly coming that way but that satisfied them emotionally. The idea of subverting expectations is actually aimed at subverting emotional satisfaction in order to get some kind of message across, and that to me is deeply offensive as a storyteller and it’s also unproductive because if you don’t fulfill your audience’s emotional expectation- even if it’s not a plot expectation- then they’re going to walk away. Which is what happened with Disney Star Wars.”
