How do you feel about the new shade of green that they've been using since ToQger?

This is an interesting question.  I like Green, it’s one of my favorite colors for Super Sentai members and the various shades sometimes reflect the tone of the series or the character who wears it.

Let’s take a look at the greens you mentioned, starting with ToQ 4gou from Ressha Sentai ToQger.

Yes, I am using a screenshot from the movie because this shot is just so green. Unlike some previous greens, this is a lighter shade but not the pastel we saw way back in Carranger. It fits the character who is wearing it, a child-like brightness to the hue uncorrupted or darkened and standing out as rather cheery, even if the hero wearing it isn’t the cheeriest member of the team.

Then we move on to Shuriken Sentai Ninninger, or rather it’s V-Cinema continuation Shuriken Sentai NinNinger Returns: Ninnin Girl vs. Boys. In this special, we are introduced to MidoNinger, who I was initially excited about as the first female green we’ve ever gotten.  Then we found out who she really was and it kind of deflated my excitement.

This one is also that bright color of green which fits the assumed persona of the character.  It’s a spring-like green which reflects Midoninger’s powers and theme. I really like it.

After that, we turn to Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger and the resident scholar and introvert, the ‘Super Fun Elephant’ Zyuoh Elephant.

For him, this reflects his status as The Monarch (or Champion depending on your translation) of the forest.  I wouldn’t call it a forest green for that is a much darker shade but it is a bright, foliage-like green which, like the character above, reminds me of spring. 

Most recently, we get Chameleon Green from Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger.

I LOVE this costume design to start with and this shade of green is just perfect for someone based on a reptile for her constellation and outfit.  It’s almost the same shade as those used for the last three but to my eye maybe a bit richer. Either way, it’s a good color and it’s nice to have a real green heroine for the first time in a series from the start.

This is for my friend @pilferingapples. Yesterday was her birthday and we watched the Shuriken Sentai NinNinger Returns: Ninnin Girl vs. Boys special.  Her favorite color is green so it was fantastic to see a proper female green for the first time!

I REALLY liked this special.  I just wish the whole series had been as good.

This is for my friend @pilferingapples.  MidoNinger only appears in the new V-Cinema release Shuriken Sentai Ninninger Returns: Ninnin Girls vs. Boys Final Wars.  Her non-costumed identity is  Luna Kokonoe and she is played by Megumi Han who provided the voice of regular series villain Izayoi Kyuemon. I don’t know much else about her as of yet as I have not seen the new special which is released on video in Japan on June 22nd of this year.

I will admit I think the frills on her non-costumed Ninja outfit and the bow in her hair are adorable.
