@mightivictory | Bucky starter
"Agent Hill? Hill? Maria?? Oh my God...MARIA! NO!" With a start, her eyes popped open, body covered in sweat before she realized she was tangled rather viciously in the sheets. Third time this week her nightmares tormented her. When would the painful memories stop? One would think in her line of work, she'd be used to losing friends and loved ones, but they'd be wrong. She never forgot a single one of them.
Slipping out of bed, bare feet padded along the wood floors as she made her way from her bedroom to the bathroom to splash some water on her face. Melina knew sleep would most likely elude her for the next few hours, though it was still dark outside, so she'd make herself some tea and perhaps relax her mind with a puzzle or book. Icy cold water hit her cheeks, sending a small sigh shuddering through her before she dried herself off and moved sleepily towards the living room.
"HOLY SH-!" A half curse, half cry left her lips upon seeing a masculine figure in the shadow of her kitchen. Glancing around quickly for any improvised weapon to throw, she gave herself pause upon the familiarity of the emotions of the stranger. Her shoulders sagged as she groaned aloud and turned on the light to reveal the former soldier standing before her. "What the hell, Bucky?? A little advanced notice would be nice before just appearing in my kitchen like a reverse Houdini!"
