She pushes over a bottle of tequila and a shot glass, shrugging.
Well, that was actually a nice surprise. Rogers moved and grabbed an extra mug, just in case she wanted some too. Would be fucking dumb and unkind not to share the bottle with her. He poured her a shot first before he took his coffee mug and almost filled it to the brim. “Cheers.” he offered before he started to work on the tequila. This was a good way to end the week at least.

Nate wishes having blood on your clothes was more common in modern times. after all, in his original timeline, no one blinked an eye at you if you were covered head to toe in red. the world was violent and death was at every corner. if you wanted to make it back home, you had to defend yourself tooth and nail. and Nate always did a good job at that, for the sake of his family. but his wife would still get worked up every time he came home like that.
“and?” he replies without even looking at the woman, wiping at his nose to prevent another stain on his shirt. “it’s three in the damn morning. i’m sure there’s weirder things to look at.”
