Alright, I need some help from all you die hards. I was in my native NJ all last week, far further north than my home in Virginia. I tried to go running while I was up there, but it was my first attempt at a sub-freezing run, and didn't go so well. Unfortunately, the cold seems to have followed me home, and it's currently 17°F in my neighborhood.
I did okay for warmth on the upper half of my body by layering up. But my legs were still freezing. Should I get some fleece leggings?
Also, I wore a light weight face mask that kept my face warm, and helped hold in some warmer air to breath... But my glasses kept fogging up. Is that inevitable, or is there some way to prevent that?
Final question is for my fellow Vibram Fivefinger wearers. The socks I wore were no where near warm enough. Any recommendations? Or do I just need to bite the bullet and get warmer shoes?
Virginia has fairly short, mild winters, and I'm currently unemployed. So I don't want to invest in a lot of expensive gear for the cold if it's at all avoidable.
