April, in a sense, was fucked in terms of relaxation. Now that wasn’t to say that the reason it was out of the realm of possibilities wasn’t a good one, but the fact that he had little time to himself — after having become so accustomed to a slower lifestyle after these few years — was something he needed to grow to remember. Like a corpse reanimated, he’d risen from his hypothetical grave, grim expression molded into place as he appeared to roam the streets, eyes blank and gray matter on fire.
The world had welcomed his return, while others had wished he’d stayed quiet. Stayed in the coffin. He couldn’t blame them: he’d promised he’d be back and they doubted his words as they had time and time again, despite how he’d always delivered.
Deoksu was different. SPYDER was different. There was a kingdom to reclaim, to remind he’d never abandoned them.
After last night’s performance on M Countdown, he figured he’d treat himself to a quiet day to himself before the next lapse of comeback insanity stuck him. Clad in less than form-fitting attire, the soloist slipped into a coffee shop. With a black mask affixed and recently bleached hair hidden beneath a burgundy beanie, the man inched his way towards the counter, doing his best to remain as unremarkable as possible among the other customers. From behind dark sunglasses he peered about the shop, blonde brows peeking out and above the rims of his glasses before lowering back into hiding.
With his attention locked on a couple that was enjoying their time together — publicly, freely — he aimlessly moved forward as he caught the line shifting in his peripherals. Yet he miscalculated, accidentally bumping into the into the patron in front of him, which drew an immediate apology from his lips, coupled with an apologetic bow.
“Excuse me,” he murmured, eyes still hidden and yet doing their best not to stray back to the happy couple he so thoroughly envied.
