#minute proposal flush

For @sterekdrabbles​!  January 25th’s prompt was minute, proposal, flush, and it was the last day of the theme week of food!  This time, Stiles is preparing a very special dinner!  =3

Stiles was about to pull his hair out.  He had everything planned down to the minutest detail.  The electric candles sat on the dining room table.  The perfectly cooked Kobe beef was resting on the cutting board.  Rose petals lined the way from the front door to the dining room.  And he was absolutely terrified.

He gripped the ring box in his pants pocket.  What if Derek said no to his proposal?  He had time to dump everything before Derek came home.

No, he thought as his cheeks flushed.  He loved Derek and Derek loved him.  Everything would be okay.

Part Fifteen

“So I’m supposed to believe-” Hale began, but Stiles didn’t wait to be accused yet again of conspiring to kidnap himself.

“I have a proposal for you,” he snapped, an angry flush crawling over his face. Thankfully Hale couldn’t see it. Probably. “You stop being a stubborn asshole and I’ll investigate the one anomaly in the room. Deal?”

Hale didn’t answer, so he took it as agreement.

It was hard to examine the cabinet without better lighting, but it seemed ordinary enough.

“Find anything?”

“Give me a minute, would you? I just got started and I’m working in the dark.”
