Days 3 and 4!
Fun fact: Axis uses they/them and she/her pronouns, with they/them being preferred.
Another fun fact: I often associate Axis with yellow and its metallic counterpart, gold. As for WHY, well, that remains a secret for now.

A new daily challenge in which I draw my oc Axis for seven days!
Days 1 and 2
(I love them so much I have so much in-universe and irl Lore about them)
(Throughout this challenge, you can tell I'm still on the fence about which hairstyle to use for them)
(Fun fact! If you ever see Axis without the scar over their eye, it means either I forgot to draw it or that that is Axis as a Little Kid!)
Today's throwback is a double feature!
The first was made in middle school, in the 8th grade art class. Our prompt was to make a monogram and then draw it as a logo on something, so of course, being knee-deep in obsession for my own The Misadventures Crew, I drew an adventuring ship and put it on the sail.
The second was in sophomore year of high school, for an English class, believe it or not. We had to write an essay about ourselves in a deep way, and then paint a thing or make a collage that represented that visually. So I, having not yet come out to my parents, I instead came out to my class and talked about both my mental disorder and my love for storytelling at the same time :P
Yet another of my characters from The Misadventures Crew gets to meet their original design! This time, it's Ollie (short for Olliverus)!
(The last image is a super old drawing of their original design, from when I was in middle school.)
Also, fun fact time!
Fun fact: The Misadventures Crew was originally set in Minecraft, way back in the day. Ollie's original design was named Enderboy (so creative, I know) because he was an orphan who was raised in the End by endermen.
Fun fact: Back before Ollie's original design was finalized, for a time he was blond and had freckles, and had more of a "surfer boy" aesthetic, which is funny because Ollie was and is afraid of the ocean.
Fun fact: Ollie, as we know them now, uses any pronouns!
Aaannnd Day 7!
Fun fact: This is much closer to what Axis normally wears. :]
Carmen: a seasoned warrior, the leader of the Forestian Kindom, and a friend of Axis and Fire. She's the hybrid child of a Plant-Type Terranian and a Forestian (species names subject to revision).
I originally drew her for an April Colors prompt on instagram, but my perfectionism woke up and tried to make it over the top, then later I decided there was no need to go ahead with my entire plan.
I'm quite glad I went a little extra though. :)
More on her and her pals to come!
(As usual, click for better quality)
Yay, first post! \(^O^)/ Featuring 2 of the 7 main characters of the story that I've been working on for ~5 years. On the left is Axis and on the right is Fire (both of their character designs are still subject to change, of course).
These two and their story have truly been gifts from God, and have gotten me through so many hard times. I love them to bits, and I'm so excited to finally properly share them with the world!
***Blood warning on the 6th, 7th, and 8th images!***
I give you: Axis through the ages! The most recent drawings are the first few, and they get older as you go further along. The oldest ones are at the back.
I'll probably talk more about the original ideas some other time.
Have I mentioned that originally, The Misadventures Crew was a Minecraft fanfiction? It involved Herobrine and Steve as well as Axis and their buddies.
So, why is Axis bleeding? Those are drawings depicting the aftermath of the incident that gave Axis the scar over their eye. It injured them really badly.
Notice the creature holding them on the 8th image? That's one of Axis's guardians, who raised her.
At the point in time that drawing was made, Axis's guardians were Minecraft monsters.
The 10th image also gives a hint of the original idea in that the person sitting on the left is Herobrine. The person on the right is Fire's original design.
