CHRISTMAS RECORDINGS.
Mitch Miller and Carol Channing
(Ralph Crane. 1951)
Not a question, but I wanna pitch this AU version of ‘Winter’ I brainstormed:
Instead of just being to create Jackie/Hyde drama, it’s a festive “whodunnit” type story.
Hyde has already agreed to go to the event with Jackie. The guys are in charge of the donated gifts, but they can’t resist playing with them first. They put them in an assigned storage locker for the night and talk animatedly about them at the Hub that evening, noting that some of the toys are super rare. They go to collect them the next day to be wrapped, only to find the storage locker empty. Eric, Hyde, Kelso and Fez have to track down the stolen toys, and they eventually find it was (shocker) Mitch, who plans to hoard the toys until their value increases. {Eric: “What’s next, Mitch? Ya gonna steal Tiny Tim’s crutch?” Mitch: “If that crutch was a Limited Edition with flashing red lights for laser beams, then YES!”) They subsequently lock him in a closet, wrap the gifts and get them to the toy drive, then drop Mitch down a chimney
You had me at Mitch is dropped down a chimney. 😂
I'd hope Jackie would see the greater good in Hyde's choices. 🤭
