I believe that the scar signifies the breaking of the brotherhood between him and Bi-Han. Of course, he will always call him brother, just as Bi-Han will always call Kuai Liang his brother, because the blood bond between them is indelible and immutable. However, it is clear in the story mode and intros that the scar for him is a reminder of the hurt that Bi-Han caused him.
