It's just a very interesting dynamic. Fiddleford and Ford were college roommates, wink wink nudge nudge, and then live together in a secluded cabin that Fiddleford left his wife and young child to go live in because Ford simply asked for his help. They're best friends but there's a lot to suggest that at the MINIMUM, Fiddleford certainly has feelings for Ford. (Forgetting to get his wife a Christmas gift but making two for Ford, making Ford's name his password, etc.)

Bill and Ford are ambiguously canon. It's certainly up to interpretation how exactly you read their relationship but at the very least, it's blatant both of them loved each other. (Ford literally worshipping Bill for over a year, giving him full permission to possess him as he pleased, calling himself a Cipherholic, etc. Mabel telling Bill to go crush on somebody else's uncle, "one Sixer, please", "if lost return to Bill", etc.) Whether they ever voiced that to each other in a romantic sense, unclear.

And then there's Fiddleford and Bill. Fiddleford says he never met him, but he also wiped his own memory hundreds of times so he's not the most reliable narrator. Ford thinks he was hiding Bill's existence well, but as you can see in the attached image, he was NOT subtle about his worshipping, even letting himself be possessed in front of Fiddleford. Fiddleford's invention leads to Bill's death. They're both in love with the same man, and are both too emotionally constipated to do anything useful about it. Their potential interactions are a relatively untapped treasure trove of possibility.

Shen Qingqiu(Shen Yuan)/Luo Binghe/Liu Qingge:

Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu are married by the end of the series and have both been in sort-of courtships with Liu Qingge for years but they’re all such oblivious idiots that none of them realize this.

This is THE love triangle in SVSSS, and we were robbed of these three ending up together. Luo Binghe and Liu Qingge are both head over heels in love with Shen Qingqiu. Both would do anything to make him happy. Shen Qingqiu is in love with both, even if he has 0 ability to recognize this in himself. Luo Binghe and Liu Qingge fought for 5 years for plot-related reasons, and you can't tell me that isn't the fuel for some top-tier enemies to lovers trope.

They're extremely devoted to each other to the point of willing to die for each other. They're so mentally compatible that McCoy was able to hold Spock's katra and Spock and Kirk constantly mind meld.

A Triad that balances each other out, it could be argued that Spock is the brains, McCoy is the heart, and Kirk is the soul of the triad. They will fight to keep each other alive against all odds.

First disclaimer: Because I am submitting 9 people, two of whom are related ([Spoilers] the Scout is the Spy’s son), and i don’t know how your rules work with polyamory other than “everyone is dating everyone else”, I want to clarify: this gets shipped in various ways (and i probably prefer some more convoluted version where everyone is in the polycule in some way but not everyone is dating everyone else), but i guess me submitting this means “everyone with everyone else except the incest”.

Second disclaimer, gender: Jane Doe is a guy. His name is Jane Doe but he is a guy. Nothing complex about his gender. Pyro, however, is of unknown gender. the canon description goes “he's a fearsome, inscrutable, on-fire Frankenstein of a man - if he even is a man”, and the character is commonly headcanoned to be  some sort of nonbinary, though they can really be interpreted as being of any gender. We don’t know anything about their perspective of their gender, but the game is often referred to as having an all male cast and so on. I don’t know man i just work here.

Okay disclaimers aside, this is funny! tumblr user thewolfofthestars (whom i am not affiliated with) is writing a very fun fanfic series with this premise. The characters get shipped into separate couples every which way, and there are plenty of compelling reasons (be it comic character dynamics, game mechanics, or both) to ship about every two, or three, or what have you, so why not just put them all together is what I’m thinking, yeah? there are quite likely more of them than in your ship, and they will probably win a ship battle, so why not a ship tournament. Or die funnily, that they also do.
