╰⊱♥⊱╮●╭⊱♥≺
With suspicion, Jaehee squints her eyes at the ingredients on the countertop of her and Lila's brand new cafe. After months of preparation and an almost breakdown when she asked them to become her partner for this adventure, Jaehee's dream finally comes true - a cute, domestic yet elegant cafe that she owns with her best friend.
But…
"There was more chocolate."
Lila's eyes widen and they furrow their eyebrows, looking at the potential crime scene as well. "Huh? What do you mean?" They check the scale. "It's the exact amount we need for the recipe."
Jaehee shakes her head, looking at the pieces in the bowl. "I could have sworn I put more in there…"
"You're probably just nervous! We're about to bake our very first cake for the cafe, isn't it exciting?"
The way they beam at Jaehee makes her chest feel warm and her knees go a little weak, causing Jaehee to forget what she was just thinking about entirely.
"That must be it, I'm sure you're right. This is what I've dreamed of for a very long time, I feel all… fluttery inside." To hide her soft chuckle, Jaehee turns her head away a little and shields her mouth with one of her hands. Showing emotion is still… foreign to her and she is still shy about it.
Lila clicks their tongue in disapproval. "Now come over here and let me see that stunning face of yours, we have work to do! I'm all excited for this too but I'm waiting for the proper view." Demanding, they motion to the space across from them, followed by a little wink.
As all of Lila's teasing does, their comment makes Jaehee's heart hiccup in her chest, a too familiar heat already painting her cheeks in a soft blush. There’s only one way to deal with them when they get like that…
Speaking Korean, especially if the sentences are long and spoken fast, is the only way for Jaehee to feel like she is still somewhat in control when she is around Lila. Given that Korean is not their first language and they’re still learning, they tend to get really sheepish when they don’t understand something. And, for Jaehee, it’s the only weapon she has to not let Lila’s boldness knock her out.
Normally, she speaks English around them or slow, easy Korean. But not in moments like this.
“If only you knew what you’re doing to me with such behavior…”
Jaehee keeps her voice low and talks fast, even a fluent speaker would have had trouble to understand her.
“What was that?” The cocky grin on their face immediately shrinks to a shy expression and Jaehee can’t help but feel a little guilty, although relieved.
Of course she hates it to make her friend feel insecure, she wants to make them feel just as strong and support them just as much as they do for her. But sometimes she has to do this, only to not combust due to the hidden feelings in her heart.
“Oh, nothing. Let’s start baking.” With a somewhat apologetic smile, she walks up to Lila and stands on the other side of the countertop, looking at the instructions in front of her. Now, she has to fire Lila’s confidence in themself again. “How about you start with the dough while I try out these decorations? Your doughs always turn out amazing.”
The proud gleam in Lila’s eyes that Jaehee likes to see so much is back immediately.
“They do indeed. What are you making?” Curiously, they get to their tiptoes, trying to get a peek of the picture she is holding.
“Some flowers.” Calculating, she leans her head to the side, inspecting the pictures as well, lowering the piece of paper so it's easier for Lila to see. “I’ve never tried to make these before but I wanted to set myself a challenge. Hopefully, they’ll turn out fine.”
“I’m sure they’ll turn out perfect. Like you.” One of Lila’s hands lands on Jaehee’s cheek, presumably for encouragement, and Jaehee can practically feel their chuckle as she straightens as if the touch burned her skin. Which it really seems to do, given how hot she feels all of a sudden.
“Y-yes. I… Maybe. Yes, I’ll do my best.”
Not knowing what else she could possibly say that wouldn’t give away how fast her heart is beating, Jaehee gets to work. She presses her lips together and tries to ignore Lila’s gaze she can clearly feel on herself as she begins to knead and color the fondant.
Luckily, Lila decides to be merciful and not make any more comments that get Jaehee out of her concentration, maybe so they can get to work as well.
It doesn’t take the young woman long to forget everything around herself as she fully focuses on the task at hand. She gets lost in the thrill of trying new, challenging things and the rewarding feeling when an experiment with one of her utensils works out, giving the flowers as they are described in the instructions her own twist. One petal after the next is formed and, after some time, Jaehee finds a routine, the activity having a quite calming and almost meditative effect on her.
Her thoughts wander.
And, as they do so very often, they wander to the wonderful person standing in front of her right now.
It’s been a few months since they’ve met, got to know each other and even ended up as close as they are right now. Not much, in Jaehee’s opinion, and yet she can barely recall a time where Lila hasn’t been in her life, much less can or does she want to imagine a future without them. They have saved her from her monotone, stressful life that never would have gained her any kind of happiness and turned it upside down. They have turned it into an unpredictable, exciting adventure, the only goal being to chase their dreams and find joy. Together.
Never again does Jaehee want to be without Lila’s stirring presence that doesn’t only bring spice but also light into her life.
Of course it hadn’t been easy for Jaehee to admit to herself that she’d fallen in love. Of course she had been scared of rejection, of the possible heartbreak. Of the risks that come with loving someone so deeply, even after such a short period of time, only falling deeper for their captivating soul more and more with every passing day.
But no matter how strong her fears had been, by that, they only became the evidence for her feelings for Lila. And finally, after multiple sleepless nights, Jaehee had not only faced the truth that she’s helplessly lost her heart to the best friend she’s ever had, she also came to the conclusion that all of this turmoil is worth it. That the nagging fear is nothing compared to the exciting tingle that runs from the center of her stomach through her entire body as soon as Lila walks into the room. That a possible heartbreak is a price she is willing to pay, as long as she gets to feel the way she does for a little while longer every time Lila smiles at her, only her.
And now, they’re working together, they’re partners. Maybe they’ll never be more than that, friends and partners, but Jaehee knows that, at least, they will always be together. Even if she should slip one day - Lila won’t just leave her for the way she feels. In that, Jaehee trusts unconditionally. In Lila, she trusts unconditionally.
Before she knows it, she’s used up the last bit of fondant, has created the last flower for the day. Proudly, Jaehee looks down at the decorations in front of her, all kinds of blossoms in many different colors, shades and sizes spreading out on the table.
"I did it!" The excitement in her voice is very clear and maybe, normally, she would try to conceal it to keep her countenance. But right now, she's way too happy and feels way too safe and comfortable with Lila to even care.
"I knew it!" There's some flour on Lila's cheek as they grin at Jaehee. "I told you they'll look perfect. You did it!"
Far from sick of looking at her own creations, Jaehee smiles down at the sugary decoration in front of her again. Then, she turns her head up to look at Lila again, unaware of the fact that her friend had just started leaning forward to peck her cheek.
Lila's lips land on the corner of Jaehee's mouth and she freezes. Time seems to stop and so does her heartbeat.
As to be expected, Lila isn't fazed by it at all. On the contrary, they seem to enjoy it quite a lot judging by the amused grin on their face and the fact that they stay much closer than they'd need to. They're not even saying anything and yet Jaehee feels like she will be reduced to an inarticulate, blushy mess in mere seconds.
There’s nothing she can do but pointedly look to the side to stop her brain from short-circuiting. No matter how much she wants to look at her stunning friend, she can’t, knowing that, if she would, she couldn't rip her eyes off the lips she so badly wants to feel on hers.
And at that moment, there's just one thing Jaehee can do.
"While investing in the stock market, it's very important to maximize the possible outcome for your transaction while simultaneously minimizing the risk you take."
Although she's speaking her native tongue, Jaehee stumbles over her own words with how quickly she is saying them. Also, she's not even sure if what she just said actually makes sense.
Yet, the words have the effect she was desperately hoping for - Lila softly shakes their head, the threateningly teasing expression on their face making way for utter confusion as they subconsciously draw back a few inches.
Jaehee hates it as much as it makes her feel relieved.
"What?"
"Nothing!" Quickly, Jaehee turns to face the table again, unnecessarily starting to sort the flowers still laying there by size. If she's confronted with that gorgeous face any longer, she won't be able to hold back anymore. "We should-"
Before she can bring up her suggestion to give the cake more layers than they'd originally planned, Lila gently places their hand on hers on the table between them.
If she is honest to herself, Jaehee knows that she wants nothing to be between them anymore, to separate them.
At first, she still refuses to look at Lila. Even without getting lost in those lovely eyes of the person that saved her from the miserable life she has been living - the speed of her heartbeat is already concerning.
But the light caress of their soft fingers on her skin makes her slowly, carefully, look up at them again, bringing her even closer to the figure she wants to embrace and never let go.
She really wants the piece of furniture gone.
"Do I truly make you this nervous?"
Lila's voice is low and raw, not hiding the emotions behind their words. They sound surprisingly hopeful and… a little scared?
Not trusting her voice to do what she wants, Jaehee just nods. Shouldn't Lila know about the effect they have on her? With how much they've been playing around with it, Jaehee has been convinced they know.
But Lila shakes their head.
"I mean, is it me who makes you nervous? Or is it the flirting, the teasing? Would you get flustered by anyone acting like this?"
Trying to calm down her rapidly beating heart, Jaehee shakes her head. She swallows, wanting her words to be audible and the truth in them to be apparent.
"I get flustered because it's you, Lila. It's not just the teasing. Everything you do makes me nervous somehow. But at the same time, you're the only person that can truly calm me down."
As to prove her statement, she nervously averts her gaze. She doesn't know much about friendship and how it works, she's worried she's said too much. And Lila is so close… Concentrating is impossible.
Time seems to be standing still.
This may be because Lila stands still, a thing they usually never do. It makes Jaehee feel a bit uneasy, she isn't sure what to think of this or what to expect, it's so atypical for her friend.
Her thoughts keep running, trying to figure out what exactly is happening right now and how to act further. Eventually, after not finding any satisfying answer, Jaehee decides to slowly turn her head back to look at Lila again.
The intensity in Lila's eyes keeps her in place as soon as their gazes lock. Now both of them seem to be frozen in time, just staring at each other.
(by @braincellbank)
Jaehee has no idea what this means or what step should be taken next, let alone by whom. She just knows that she doesn't want to look away.
When Lila finally moves, it happens suddenly and fast.
Jaehee's eyes widen when they suddenly jerk forward, and they widen even more as Lila presses their lips to hers.
It takes Jaehee's brain a moment to catch up to what's happening, to understand it. To understand that this is real, that what she's secretly dreamed of and fantasized about for weeks and months truly is happening, right here and now.
But as soon as it sinks in, her eyes flutter closed and her free hand, the one Lila isn't touching, finds their cheek.
The kiss feels like heaven.
Soon, Lila relaxes into Jaehee's touch and the frantic, nervous hectic of the firm pressing of their lips shifts into a soft, loving exploration.
In no time, Jaehee is entirely captivated, forgetting that the world exists around them and even if she would remember, she wouldn't care. All she cares about is Lila.
Lila's touch, their warmth, their scent. The fact that this kiss feels even better than she could have ever imagined it.
Her heart beats so fast it seems like it's trying to fly out of her chest to catapult itself into the sky to rejoice.
And Lila's lips taste so sweet…
Too sweet.
With a gasp, Jaehee breaks the kiss.
"You did snack on the chocolate! I knew it!"
Throwing their head back, Lila laughs, their earlier stillness nowhere to be found anymore. Their smile is just as wide as Jaehee's and they look just as happy as her.
Jaehee couldn't care less about the chocolate.
"Guess you've caught me." Another sly smile makes it to their lips. "Guess I'll have to make up for it…"
A quiet, displeased noise slips over Jaehee's lips as Lila draws back. But soon, they've made their way around the table and Jaehee finds herself in their arms, embracing them as well on instinct.
"I don't think I want to bake anymore today."
They're both grinning at each other before their lips meet in another kiss.

Teehee Day 1: Meeting the family
For a moment Theodosia is sure that she is the more nervous one of the two of them; her heart is beating in excited anticipation and it’s hard to stay somewhat still when she feels so jittery. But one glance at the woman by her side proves her wrong. Jaehee’s lips are pursed together, her eyes glued to the door in front of them while she clings to the plate in her hands. Never before has she seen her so tense and it’s… weirdly cute how much she cares about this first impression.
“Hey…” With a fond, reassuring smile on her lips, Theo nudges Jaehee’s shoulder with her own. “They will love you almost as much as I do.” She grins, leaning over and pecking her cheek in an energetic, yet soft kind of way. “So no worries, okay?”
After taking a deep breath, Jaehee tries her best at smiling back at her. “Okay.”
“Ready?” Theo asks as she wraps her arm around her girlfriend, waiting to reach out to open the door until she gets a brave nod as a response. “Hi guys, we’re he-” But before she can even finish her shouted greeting, there’s already a head popping out of the kitchen door. The mischievous smirk on the face that is staring at them causes Theo’s protective instinct to kick in immediately.
“Hi there~” The teasing tone of her older sister’s voice prompts Theo to squint her eyes at her.
“Jaehee, this is my older sister Alex who will behave today.” There’s not much effort to hide the warning in that statement.
Alexandra only shrugs with a vague, not at all reassuring expression on her face. “Nah, we’ll see about that. But welcome, Jaehee! We’ve heard a lot about you ever since you took our little Teddy here to that spa date.” As she takes the plate from Jaehee, she winks at her, leaving her younger sister at a flustered loss of words as she remembers the day that changed so much for her.
“Hello Alex, it’s very nice to meet you. I’ve heard a lot about you and your family as well and I’m happy Theo liked our spa day so much.” Undecided if she feels more relieved or embarrassed by the hint of amusement in Jaehee’s voice, Theo hides her face in her girlfriend’s shoulder with a groan.
Chuckling, Alexandra inspects the plate in her hand and her grin widens even more. “Nice one, Jaehee. MOM!” She turns around, plate still in hand, and begins to walk away. “Jaehee made some super delicious looking cupcakes!”
Now chuckling herself, Jaehee turns her head to Theodosia. “She’s exactly like you told me.”
With a sigh, Theo straightens up. “Unfortunately she is.” But as Jaehee’s chuckle grows stronger and she relaxes in Theo’s arm, unable to keep up the annoyed act, and instead, a happy, loving smile appears on her face.
Then, her mother barges in.
“Jaehee! Oh my, you’re still standing in the doorway, my girls didn’t invite you in. Come in, come in, welcome to our home!” She beams at the new member of their family and hugs her before anyone can intervene. A bit stunned, Jaehee stays quiet for a second and just blinks.
“Mom, please, calm down. We’ll come and join you guys in just a minute, okay?” Making Jaehee nervous again after she just calmed down a little is the last thing Theo wants to happen right now…
Her mother’s eyes widen and she nods. “Yes, yes, of course. We’ll be waiting outside, your father is already preparing the barbecue!” Before she turns back around, she smiles at Jaehee again and squeezes her arm.
“Thank you, Karen, we’ll make sure to be quick.”
After another friendly nod, her mother leaves the hallway and Jaehee looks at Theodosia again, taking another deep breath. With a sympathetic smile, Theo rubs her back. “They’re very… enthusiastic and excited about finally meeting the one who stole my heart. You’re holding up great, babe, I swear my dad and younger sister will be less stressful to meet.”
To her surprise, Jaehee begins to smile genuinely. “They’re your family. I can’t wait to spend the evening with them and get to know the people who made you who you are.”
The speed of Theo’s heartbeat picks up at her words and she feels her cheeks heat up. “Come on.” She holds her hand out for Jaehee to take and then they make their way out to where the others are waiting.
A delicious smell is already filling the air when they step outside into the garden and Theo looks around, finding her little sister laughing at something their dad just said. Their eyes meet and she waves them over with a happy smile. “Hey, Theo!” After engulfing Theodosia in a tight hug, she turns to Jaehee, beaming at her, and offers her hand for Jaehee to shake. “Hello, it’s great to finally meet you!”
Their father smiles as well and nods. “I hope you like our very own fused version of American and Korean barbecue!” He grins and motions for her to sit down with them.
“That sounds interesting, I can’t wait to try it.” Jaehee seems more relaxed than she has since they drove away from her apartment as she takes a seat on the opposite side of the table with a friendly smile. It causes a small proud grin to sneak onto Theo’s lips; she knew that the gentle kindness of those two would do the trick.
But then, Alex joins them at the table and… is herself again. “Interesting? Is that your way of politely saying it sounds awful?”
Of course, everyone knows she’s just teasing as she snickers mischievously but given how tense Jaehee has been the entire time, Theo would appreciate it if she would be a bit more sensitive. To her surprise, Peggy speaks up before Theo can say anything.
“No, I’m sure it’s her way of saying that she’s never had something like our weird cooking and is looking forward to trying it for the first time. Right?” With a hopeful gleam in her eyes, Peggy smiles at Jaehee. Apparently everyone is trying to make a good first impression except Alexandra. It would be funny if it wasn’t so unnerving.
Finally, Alex shows some mercy and laughs, seating herself beside Peggy. “I know Piggy, I just want to give Teddy a hard time.” She sticks her tongue out at Theo who grimaces at her as well but when she hears the sweet sound of Jaehee’s chuckles reaching her ears, her heart beats faster and a fond smile automatically appears on her face.
“I don’t think Theo deserves to be treated like that.” Still laughing, Jaehee places her hand on Theodosia’s, leaving her baffled. Never would she have expected that her girlfriend loosens up so quickly, given how nervous she has been. Now, her heart is swelling with how naturally Jaehee is acting around her family, leaving her feeling ridiculous for ever worrying about Jaehee feeling uncomfortable.
Alexandra smirks, “Maybe not, but it’s fun.”
“If it causes Jaehee to defend me, feel free to go on.” The sisters grimace at each other again and start to grin but before they can continue their banter, their mother chimes in.
“Girls, you still haven’t offered our guest anything to drink. Go inside and get the water and juice, would you?” She leans down to Jaehee with a sympathetic smile and a little wink. “Maybe you’ll get a moment to breathe.”
While Theo ponders if it is okay to leave Jaehee alone at the table, Peggy is already jumping to her feet. “Alex and I will!” Before she can complain, Peggy grabs her oldest sister and drags her inside.
Karen follows them with her eyes, shaking her head with an affectionate smile on her lips. Meanwhile, her husband places a hand on Jaehee’s shoulder and squeezes it lightly. “It’s really nice to have you here, Jaehee.”
“Thank you, David, I’m happy to be here as well.” With a happy smile, she turns to Theodosia. “Your family is truly lovely.”
By now, her cheeks are hurting from how widely she is smiling but Theo sees no reason to complain at all. Feeling blessed by who she is able to call her loved ones, she leans forward and softly kisses Jaehee’s temple. “And now you’re a part of it.”
Her parents exchange a knowing look while Theo and Jaehee just silently smile at each other adoringly, holding each others’ hands.
Again, the moment gets destroyed by a certain blonde. “Okay guys, hurry up and eat! I can’t wait to try these amazing cupcakes my future best friend brought along!”
Once more, their parents exchange a knowing, amused look while Peggy shakes her head and Theo smirks proudly. “They’re the best you’ll ever have.”

Teehee Day 3: The price of cleaning
Theodosia is laying on her stomach on their bed, chin in her hands as she watches Jaehee plugging in the vacuum cleaner. With a reproachful expression, her girlfriend turns around. “You’re really not going to help, are you?”
There’s a hint of a mischievous grin on Theo’s lips as she shrugs. “I told you the apartment would be fine for a few more days, you’re the one who insisted on cleaning.”
Knitting her brows, Jaehee puts her hands to her hips. “There are literal dust bunnies everywhere, babe.”
Hearing that, Theo can’t help but snicker softly. Jaehee is indeed very right, their home is in desperate need of cleaning, since Theo has succeeded in convincing her to postpone the cleaning for a few days now. It’s just… Theo really doesn’t want to do the work.
“I like bunnies! I vote as long as there is enough space to walk and the bed is free from clothes, it’s fine.” Of course she will help Jaehee sooner or later but she plans to put off the inevitable for as long as possible.
The smirk that appears on Jaehee’s lips spells trouble, though.
“Should I call Alexandra and ask for her opinion on this matter?”
Aaaaaand that’s Theo’s cue to jump to her feet to grab the duster. “Nope! We’re good!” She pouts at her. “There was really no need to threaten me like that.”
Jaehee’s amused laugh is more than worth cleaning the entire apartment and Theo’s pout vanishes within a second, being replaced by a fond smile.
“Apparently, there was.” Still chuckling, she leans in to peck Theo’s lips. “You do the dusting, it doesn’t make sense to vacuum clean first. I’ll start cleaning the kitchen, alright?”
Sighing, Theo nods her head. “Fine. But I want one of those”, she points to her own lips, referring to their quick kiss, “everytime we pass each other.”
That makes Jaehee laugh again. “I think that’s a reasonable deal. I accept.” She turns around to walk out of the room.
“Duh duh duh!” Before she can leave, Theo makes a disapproving sound, pointing to her lips again. But Jaehee only grins.
“I didn’t pass you another time yet.” She winks at her, turns around and exits the room, leaving a speechless Theo behind.
“Rude…” She mumbles to herself, hearing another laugh coming from the other room in response, causing herself to chuckle as well. Maybe cleaning isn’t all that bad after all.
╰⊱♥⊱╮●╭⊱♥≺
As soon as Theo finishes her halfhearted dusting, she calls for Jaehee to come over in a demanding tone. Slowly, very slowly, Jaehee walks in with an innocent smile. With a few, quick steps, Theo pointedly places herself right in the middle of Jaehee’s way to the vacuum cleaner and scowls at her. This causes Jaehee to laugh again before she, again, very slowly, approaches Theo. Having a hard time to keep up her sulky behavior, Theo’s scowl turns into more of a grimace as she tries to suppress her grin unsuccessfully.
As Jaehee is about to walk by her, she stops right next to her so they stand shoulder to shoulder. They stare at each other for a moment, before Jaehee suddenly shoots forward and presses her lips to Theo’s for just a second.
Theo squints her eyes at her. “You love to torture me, don’t you?”
Again, Jaehee laughs. “I have to admit, you’re extremely cute when you try to act to be mad.” Still chuckling, she leans forward again and kisses Theo sweetly, a bit longer this time. “Better?”
With a loving grin, Theo nods. “Better.”
Both are smiling as they seperate to continue their respective tasks.
╰⊱♥⊱╮●╭⊱♥≺
Sometimes Theo leaves her tools in the room Jaehee is in on purpose and sometimes Jaehee pretends to need a certain cleaning supply that’s in the cabinet right behind Theodosia, just to be able to steal a few kisses. Weirdly enough, this tactic causes Theo to clean better than she ever has before and Jaehee feels an unknown joy to this activity as well.
After a while, Theo is so deep into cleaning mode, that she barely realizes that she walks past Jaehee in an actual search for the dustpan, until she gets grabbed by the wrist and Jaehee pulls her towards her. A bit startled, Theo blinks before Jaehee’s lips meet hers.
Confused, she looks at Jaehee’s offended face. “You almost broke our deal there, babe.”
Theo can’t help but smile fondly, Jaehee is just too cute.
“Sorry, darling.” She softly kisses the tip of Jaehee’s nose. “Thank you for saving me from breaking a contract.”
With a satisfied smile, Jaehee shrugs. “That’s my job.”
For the rest of the day, there is not a single kiss missed until the entire apartment is spick and span.
And here is day 2, only a little late!
Check out @mmfluffweek and enjoy all the happy fluff ♡

Teehee Day 2: Sick Day
“No.” Theo pulls the blanket back over Jaehee.
“But-”
“Nu-uh.” Gently, she stops her girlfriend from sitting up. “You’ll stay in bed, I will not let you go to work.
“I can’t stay home, I have to-”
While placing her hands on Jaehee’s shoulders and holding her down, she shakes her head. “Isabella and Fleur agreed on helping Jumin if he needs anything and Ae-Ri and Emika are taking care of the flower shop. Which means we both can stay home to make sure you’ll get better and not worse. Which would be the case if you went to work. Which is why I won’t let you do that.” With a cheeky smile, she leans down and kisses Jaehee’s forehead. “Trust our friends to take care of this so you can take care of yourself, okay? Zen already agreed on bringing you soup so it actually would be rude to go away and have him come all the way here for no reason.”
The sound Jaehee makes as she leans back into the pillow is a mix of an exasperated groan and a resigned sigh. “Now you’re bringing unfair weapons to this fight. Fine, I’ll stay in bed.” Although she still seems a little reluctant, she weakly smiles at Theo.
“But speaking of Zen!” With an energetic bounce, Theo gets off of the bed and walks over to their shelf, picking up Jaehee’s favorite musical DVD. “Just in case my flawless arguments aren’t enough to keep you in bed.” She grins as she loads the recording, smiling in relief as she turns around to find the woman she loves already looking way more happy and peaceful.
“You can be extremely convincing, do you know that?”
With a bright grin, Theo nods. “And I take great pride in that.”
Once everything is set and the music starts to play, she walks back and slips under the covers next to Jaehee, opening her arms for her to snuggle against her. But Jaehee stays where she is, squinting her eyes at her. “This way, you’ll be the sick one tomorrow.”
Unfazed, Theo looks at her. “Do I have to use my extremely good convincing skills again or will you let me cuddle my sick girlfriend now?”
While shaking her head with a fond smile, Jaehee comes closer and places her head on Theo’s shoulder, wrapping her arms around her torso. “You’re not allowed to complain tomorrow after getting sick for being so reckless.”
“That’s a price I’m willing to pay.” Smiling, Theodosia places an affectionate kiss on the top of Jaehee’s head before leaning against her.
Somewhere around the middle of the show, Jaehee stops humming along to the music and Theo feels her breathing becoming slower and even. So far, Theo always thought the best moments in her life are the exciting ones, the crazy, unique adventures that cause a wave of adrenaline to surge through her.
Little did she know how wrong she’s been all these years.
Because no feeling could ever be better than this, laying in a comfortable, warm bed with the person she loves sleeping peacefully in her arms.
Finding it impossible for a mere human being to stay awake under these conditions, the warmth and softness engulfing Theo lull her into sleep as well.
╰⊱♥⊱╮●╭⊱♥≺
They get woken up by the bell and after Theo drags herself out of bed and to the door, she is faced with an amused Zen who delivers the promised soup. Of course he can’t bite back a teasing comment about how cute she looks all sleepy and with tousled hair. When he hears the sounds of the TV, he winks at her. “Even when I’m not here I get to sing you lovely ladies to sleep, hm?”
Despite the fact that she’s rolling her eyes, she’s grinning at him. “You’re right, what would we ever be without you?” She takes the soup and presses a quick kiss to his cheek as he chuckles. “Thank you, Hyun. Have a great day at practice!”
“Thanks, Theo. And you nurse our precious Jaehee back to health, alright?” He smiles at her and she nods.
“You can count on me!”
After they bid their goodbyes, Theo walks back in to find her girlfriend peeking out of the mountain of blankets and pillows, sleepily blinking at her. The view causes her to laugh softly as she hands her the bowl and a spoon. “Zen says he hopes you’ll feel better soon.” She kisses her forehead and Jaehee leans back into the pillows with a happy sigh.
Quickly, Theo walks out of the room and rummages through the closet in their living room to find the photo album from their first vacation together. Jaehee smiles as Theo comes back into the room, spotting the album in her hands. “Hawaii?”
“And all the other amazing countries we’ve seen.” Sitting down next to Jaehee with a smile and pulling the blanket over the both of them, Theo starts flipping through the treasure that holds so many beloved memories as Jaehee starts to eat her soup. It takes them a good while to take a trip down memory lane together as they share some laughs and smiles and even steal one or two kisses.
╰⊱♥⊱╮●╭⊱♥≺
It’s a very lazy day and both of them enjoy it to the fullest. After a nice, long bath, Jaehee feels like a new woman, ready to face the next day and tackle the work she’s missed.
But when she comes out of the bathroom, she finds Theo sitting on the bed, snuffling.
Their eyes meet and Theo turns her eyes to the side, looking way too caught and guilty to stay serious. Jaehee starts laughing, seemingly unable to stop, and soon after, Theo joins in. Tears are running down their cheeks when they agree to stay home tomorrow as well.
