Ok first of all, hi! Thank you for the food. I've been enjoying this au a lot and the back-to-back updates have been a real treat!

I adore the way you draw these touch starved idiots. And I love the way you portray the Narrator's body language with how he very clearly gestures and talks with his hands a lot.

So my question now is, with this new development, does the Narrator actually have any control over how solid he is, or is Stanley now at risk of getting whacked over the head any time the Narrator goes into a monologue? (That is to say, everytime he opens his mouth xD)

Lol the Narrator can still control how solid he is. If anything he’s gotten better at it, now that he’s accepted that it’s ok to be solid sometimes. Imagine, if you will, the two of them cuddling and Narry suddenly going “Alright, that’s enough. :)” And Stanley falling through him to the floor.

Which of the five senses do they most rely on? Xan most relies on touch to keep him grounded; it’s the hardest sense to trick, and also it’s nice to have something tactile to physically work with. His nonmagical hobbies, sewing and gardening, are soothing to him because he enjoys the physical texture and weight of making and transforming things by hand, as opposed to his usual transmutation magic.

What do they smell like? Soil, soot, and saffron.

How do they hug people? He wraps his hands around their back to gently pull them to his chest, holding them in place with their head under his (at least, for the majority of people who are shorter than him). His hold is steady but loose, easy to break away from.

Any thoughts on two ocs who would never meet in canon (diff universes or time frames, doesn't matter) Which two would get along the best? The worst?

i’m not sure about them getting along per se, but i really like the idea of my two kid protagonists (anchovy from the nautical story and ollie from the unnamed horror thing) meeting up and getting into shenanigans. they’re both super headstrong and independent kids living in unfamiliar magical worlds, but with wildly different views of how to approach the danger of their new realities. anchovy is all “ADVENTURE!!! DESTINY!!! EVIL HAD BETTER WATCH OUT!” while ollie is pessimistic and internally terrified, almost obsessively cataloging and observing the town to better understand and protect herself. i’d love to think of them switching places or one of them accompanying the other in their respective worlds.

on the other end, maw and strigoi colliding to tear each others’ guts out is also very appealing.
