i have a need… for speed

(okay kidding) but! hi hi hi! i’m so incredibly excited to be here! although this is my first time as a mod for a zine, i have collaborated with the mods here on other projects, and even had the luck of making a sticker for the @batgirls-zine (which mel & shelby were mods for!)

i find such joy in creating things, whether it be art or just small projects i pick up, and i’m just so thrilled that this project is so focused on creativity and the beauty of storytelling.

i don’t know if animal crossing counts, but if it does then go team! i love playing it whenever i have the time and just working on my silly little island with my silly little villagers.

again, i’m so excited for this! you’ll be seeing a lot of me on our social media pages, and i hope to see y’all here soon!

hello! I've never done collaborative art (I've never even worked with a beta or acted as a beta before), nor have I done writing on a schedule. is this event a good time to try those things out, or is it too risky that it wouldn't work out?

hey gaang! i grew up on atla and i’m incredibly excited to mod this big bang! i’m constantly baking and creating new recipes

When did you first get introduced to ATLA?

i don’t know when specifically but at some point in elementary school

What kind of bender do you think you would be? Any reasons why?

i think i’d be a good waterbender with healing abilities, helping other people and my friends is a top priority for me (and i also like water)

What kind of bender do you WANT to be? Why?

earthbender+ metal bending!! i would love to reach toph level bending and earthbending is insanely cool

Who is your favorite character from the ATLA-verse?

this is a hard question but i’d like to say toph? also mai and zuko and all of them honestly

Which ATLA-verse character are you the most like? Which do you relate to the most?

i’ve been told i give off aang energy? which is honestly valid,, according to mod @shelbychild’s uquiz (which you should all take its fantastic) i’m uncle iroh

What is your favorite romantic ship, if any?

i’m really loving zukka atm

What is your favorite dynamic?

okok honestly the friendship toph and zuko have? immaculate,, but i love uncle iroh and zuko they make me so happy

What is your favorite character arc?

i have to say zuko,, but katara has a solid character arc and she is iconic

Which ATLA-verse character would you get along/be good friends with?

i think aang and i would get along so well,, and also toph! i think toph and i would be great friends

also wait zuko and i would vibe so well and i could drink tea and talk with iroh

Hello; sorry to bother you but I’d like to propose flag designs for Sequencesexual and Sequenceromantic as, from what I’ve been able to see, they don’t have any.

Pink: Represents romantic attraction

Red: Represents sexual attraction

Purple: Taken from the Asexual flag, it represents how sexual attraction cannot happen without romantic attraction

The color between the pink and the red stripe is meant to represent how romantic attraction is a prerequisite for sexual attraction

Sequenceromantic

Red: Represents sexual attraction

Pink: Represents romantic attraction

Additional on Sekhet

This is the anon that send in a bunch of culture-exclusive genders a while back, sorry it took a while to get back to you! Unfortunately, what I’ve been able to learn about sekhet is mostly just word-of-mouth from my family members who happen to know about it. Even then, it’s probably much less used in actual society than I probably made it seem, sorry. :(

Most sources online will only talk about how it was used in a historical context in ancient times (here and here are personally what I would say are good sources on that context). So here’s what I know of sekhet, other than what I already mentioned in my original submission:

It was used a lot as another word for gay men and eunuchs, though in recent times some of my relatives would hear it being used as a sort-of equivalent to the word “queer” (i.e. it can be used as an identity and/or umbrella terms, and is sometimes used as a slur/insult, even though it is also being reclaimed as something empowering). Though, a lot of my relatives have said that it’s probably even less used than queer/nonbinary is in the west, as far as they know. One of my aunts had heard about some efforts to try and promote it more (and personally I’m hoping that my flag helps to raise more awareness for it in the west!), but that’s about it.

Kind of wish I could understand Arabic better, I could try to go on Egyptian websites and see if there’s more information about sekhet in modern times. Though, I’m sure someone else will probably be willing to share such information in the future! Well, hopefully. :)

What is your opinion on your terms being added to other platforms?

hi our general consensus is to ask/inform us before reposting our terms to other platforms/sites, this especially for pinterest reposts since we are often un-credited for those! obviously we want credit in some way, either a link or our url mentioned in an easy-to-find place!

for wikis specifically the same applies as above, but we'd especially love to see the finished page when it's added!

when it comes to personal terms collections on other sights such as notion, pronounscc, pronounspage, etc. you don't have to ask/inform us, and credit is optional but appreciated!
