Day 11 - Modrone
DAY ELEVEN: MODRONE
Challenging the newbie dungeon master
Our second D&D session will take place on Sunday.
Halfling style, my flatmate and I just converged in the kitchen to have second breakfast. She’d been teetering for a while on the edge of joining us but wants to give it a try on Sunday. The trouble is: to the chagrin of her gaming-enthusiastic boyfriend, she does not care for long gaming sessions, so she’d already warned me several times that I might have to ‘kill her off’.
My first impulse was thus to just give her one of the prebuilt characters from the D&D website. Yet to have some inkling what type of character she might like, I quizzed her about the characteristics she’d like to role play: clever, acrobatic, cutesy or muscle-packed?
A cutesy Chinese giggle later, she said she really liked those cute double-faced things she saw in the Monster Manual yesterday. The book had fallen open on the pages about Modrones (one variation of which is pictured with several faces).
I explained that Modrones come from a different dimension, a different plane, like the fairies who can ocassionally cross over into our plane and then disappear again. Considering that she had already signalled she might leave the game prematurely, that suited her very well.
So now I’m customising a Modrone player character. It’ll need some really interesting background story that explains how the Modrone was freed of his axiomatic mind and given a will of its own and how it gained the ability to hop from one plane to another.
As it's stated here, the followers can add fiction requests? May you then please add my request: slash Lou Reed/Earthling Era Bowie, preferably smut.
Sure, we’ll add that to our fiction request.
Well, I think have to ask about a very strange thing... Of course I don't find it strange being sexually frustrated by Lou (it doesn't matter - for a woman or for a man), but as for me, my six-year-frustration has gone so far that I'm writing a dirty smut fanfic about Lou and Cale, in which Lou being a whore from 14 to 18 falls in love with Cale and so on and so forth... Shall I forgive myself *in front of Lou's spirit*?
The way I look at it, Lou was so dirty and perverted in the first place that it's pretty hard to pervert him further. If you'd like, you could share that with us over here when you're done......I'd read it.
The first fanfic I ever read was one about David Bowie being the sub to Lou's dom and it was fantastic and at first I felt weird about it but then I thought, really, there are much, much weirder things I could be reading/doing.
