I always say I'm going to post more projects on here and now it's been like a year since the last one.

Whoops.

Anyway, introducing the magnificent story Half-Breed by @pointlessprinceps! This is the Star vs the Forces of Evil fic, okay. I re-read it annually, it's fantastic. When I got into fanbinding it was immediately at the top of my list for binding, though I put it off for a bit because I wanted to do it justice.

I'm happy to say that this is one of my favorite typesets I've ever made! There were a so many fun design elements to play around with. I'm particularly happy with the table of contents, since I wanted to keep all the fun chapter summaries present in the typeset, and I spent A Lot of time picking out a suitably messy, yet readable font for Ludo's letter.

The spine is handlettered with a tiny brush and some acrylic paint, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. (I was pretty worried about the little curly bits, but I brought that on myself when I chose the font I suppose)

Monstar and Dante are from different alternate universes. Unfortunately, they can never be in the same AU. Monstar belongs to Kabuki Akuma. For years, I've been illustrating her in my drawings, but I never made it clear that she doesn't belong to me—my mistake. But if they ever got to know each other, they'd surely get along well, knowing how energetic and cheerful Monstar is..

A gift for a friend who loves Svtfoe. I'm not too familiar with the show, but she requested that I draw an AU version of Star too. I looked around, and I found this MonStar AU. It interested me the most so I went with that one.

Moon/Toffee and Mon!Star - As Long As You're Mine

The dark sepia clips represent alternate timelines and the fears of the MHC.

PLOT:

Moon and Toffee are married as king and queen of Mewni. Glossarick appears to warn them of the possible consequences of an alternate timeline. Even Toffee is shocked to see that a timeline exists where he and moon are bitter enemies after he killed Comet.

Having seen what could have happened, Moon appreciates her life even more. Together with Toffee she unified Mewmans and Monsters after centuries of war and oppression. The queen and king drink tea together and remember how they fell in love.

Toffee first noticed Moon when she became crown princess and took charge for the first time. Moon realized very suddenly that she had already fallen for Toffee in his constant company as a royal advisor in Monster Relations.

In the fight against Mina and the Solarian Warriors Moon used her magic to fight for the Monsters. Toffe was hit when the knight attacked but he recovered much faster than Moon feared.

The MHC quarreled about their relationship, afraid that Toffee could betray them all and become the nemesis of the kingdom, the General known as the Lizard. But Moon and Toffee stay together against all odds, unifying the kingdom.

At the annual Game of Flags Moon has to break up a fight in her Butterfly form, amazing Toffee with his wife once again. While Moon has taught Toffee to relax more during formal events, she herself has grown to be more carefree around him as well. Their daughter Star is very happy with their parents.
