anyone remember h*ruzen’s summon, the monkey king enma? who turned into a staff? it’s a direct nod to sun wukong (you’ve probably seen characters inspired by sun wukong before, it’s very common) who has a staff that can change size. a lot of you probably know the monkey king’s story already but i thought i would share anyways. 

(also, the “saru” from “sarutobi” means monkey. asuma deserves a monkey summon)
