A enemy is approaching
Inktober day 31: RIPE: At long last their day was ripe with leisure. Their long adventure had ended and so for each of them this day marked the beginning of an important newness. They had done great deeds. Faced many dangers. Vanquished all foes. They had saved each other countless times and after all the hardship and struggle they had won the day. So now they rested and felt peaceful. They were each different than they had been before their quest. Mr MeeMee had seen and done more than any monkey puppet ever had. He was now a Monkey of the World. But his hopeful heart was more open and brave than it had ever been. For Beatrice Everbloom this was a time to revel in the small pleasure of simply being a flower. Though she did take up playing Mr MeeMee’s trumpet and she was surprisingly good at it right from the start. Teddy Tenderman the bravest Teddy Bear in the history of his species was reunited with his beloved locket-doll Sweet Sue and together they sang a lovely duet. Their happiness was now complete. Snowfly, Sparrow of the North had decided to stay south for a while. She too would take a break from adventuring and for now simply sing along with her friends. But Gloopy was perhaps the most changed of them. He had been too shy to leave his cave at the bottom of the sea but now he was a terra firma gadabout. Every act of doing is an act of bravery for the shy at heart. And Gloopy had been brave so long now he could never be as shy again. His was a silent victory. But it’s reward was all around him. He was with his friends. It was a reward they shared. Friendship born of goodness and struggle. It would never leave them. It was a treasure that would brighten and bring comfort everyday from now on and far far past it. Theirs was a victory for the kind and brave.
