will has known his whole life about the "Chesapeake Ripper"-- the serial killer identity of his soulmate. he's had his time to come to terms with it. to accept that he will never be normal; but nor will his soulmate.

and so the first time the name shows up in the papers-- the first time his soulmate's kills appear as glossy exclusives on tattlecrime.com-- will makes goddamn sure that he's the first one assigned to investigate the case.

role reversal of the s3 situation at mason's farm; will stumbling through the snow holding hanni, teeth chattering, chiyoh leading the way; all the while a stream of "we'll figure it out, it's gonna be okay," to the near-comatose Hannibal in his arms

(bonus points if hanni gets sick afterwards and says things to will, in a feverish daze, that he'd never, ever tell him if he was sane and sober-- leading to will going with him, for real this time.)

AU where every lie your soulmate tells you appears on your skin. And the first real lie Hannibal tells Will comes in the form of covering up his encephalitis diagnosis.

Meanwhile Will hasn't yet lied to Hannibal, and so Will is armed with the knowledge both that Hannibal was trying to medical malpractice him and that he and Hannibal are soulmates; but Hannibal still hasn't got a clue anything's amiss.

And, y'know, where in the fuck is Will supposed to go from here?

Will's chilling sipping his drink on the house balcony and Hannibal's absolutely fucking WASTED in the yard below, starfished on the gras and shit. & hanni looks up, sees this absolute Adonis of a man above him, and shorts out. his drunk brain goes "oh FUCK . think. think. time sensitive question How Flirt Boy" and he ends up loudly quoting Romeo and Juliet at Will-- who's just tipsy enough to start quoting back

kitchen during a black out, surrounded by candles. power outage set sometime in S2 when it's late and hannigram's kinda drunk at hanni's place and he whips out the candles and they're just drunk enough and it's raining outside so they lie on the kitchen floor and somewhere along the way they end up laughing and being soft and at some point during that night Will realizes he isn't willing to let this thing with Hannibal die, fuck that noise, and he kills Freddie and they kill Jack together and then they run away and it's all happy forever

Will's a serial killer living in a shack in the woods, Hannibal's come here to dump a failed tableau he doesn't want anyone tracing back to his ripper persona. he finds a shed that looks basically abandoned, and it's got a basement... when Hannibal finds the bodies, he's only delighted that this botched victim will fit right in with all the rest.

post-fall, Hannibal has such bad injuries that Will can't fall asleep or leave his side at ALL lest something change and Hanni die. he's at Hanni's bedside 24/7, Chiyoh occasionally popping in to provide them with new bandages, I.V fluid, etc. days later, Hanni's fever breaks; he awakes to Will crying by his bedside -- "you don't get to die like this"-- and as soon as it's clear that Hanni's OK, will just passes out onto the floor beside him

Will's a sort of infected flesh hive, Magnus Archives Corruption style. He's trying really hard to live a semi normal life despite the whole "FEED THE HIVE" thing his little dwellers occasionally get going, which typically ends up in a thoroughly chewed dog or sometimes even a thoroughly chewed someone's lost grandpa.....and despite it all, he's a bit of a hopeless romantic. One day, Will locks eyes on a simply GORGEOUS man, and oh! What luck-- Hannibal ends up being willing to overlook the maggots all for the sake of those beautiful blues.
