Democracy does not require perfect equality, but what it does require is that citizens share in a common life. What matters is that people of different social backgrounds and different walks of life encounter one another, bump up against one another in the ordinary course of life, because this is what teaches us to negotiate and abide our differences. And this is how we come to care for the common good.

No projeto chamado 21 Balançoires, a ideia é que as pessoas criem uma música através dos balanços. Cada balanço emite uma nota musical e a magica acontece quando todos os balanços são ocupados ao mesmo tempo.

O projeto trás interatividade entre público e também muda a cara do espaço antes vazio.

Os balanços foram montados no Montréal Quartier des Spectacles festival.”

A great example of how technology and music are mixed together to create new experiences! Here in Montreal, 21 Balançoires (21 Swings) were installed and available to the public for free during two weeks right next to the Place des Arts in the new Quartier des spectacles. Simply and colorfuly designed, the swings produced sounds and eventually music if you could coordinate yourself with the swings beside you. A beautiful way to evoke cooperation and complicity between people. A nice metaphor the public can enjoy through a nice balade under the calming sounds of 21 swings.
