Talking about Mr. Squiggles (because I forgot you had to actually talk about your OCs for people to care about them)
So voice wise, I imagine it’s like a mix of Steven from Blues Clues (Enthusiasm and cheerfulness) and the candy shop owner who sings The Candy Man in 1971’s Willy Wonka (Older gentleness)
In general, Mr. Squiggles is more like the embodiment of all nostalgia and old educational entertainment. A cheerful but gentle soul, one that kinda puts your mind at ease. Makes you feel like a kid again.
He comes from an era where kids could play outside without that lingering fear, when you could see fireflies out at night and butterflies fluttered out in the morning. A lingering splotch of color, like the paint and marker on his hands, that you miss. But he never left, you just thought you had to run away from him.
Usually Mr. Squiggles is seen coloring, painting, drawing, playing with his friends, and reading.
His favorite book to show off is The Very Hungry Caterpillar and he even has a caterpillar puppet to play with while he reads. Favorite food is oranges, so much so his clothes even faintly smell like them.
Mr. Squiggles is more like a general entity. Could appear on your television screen during the middle of the night. The show he resides on is like a mix of Bear In The Big Blue House, Dragon Tales, Oswald, A pinch of Mr. Rodger’s Neighbor, and Blue’s Clues. It’s silly and light hearted, with lots of lessons on friendship, how to deal with your emotions, and general life experiences or lessons like learning to wait your turn, sharing, and being kind.
In turn Mr. Squiggles has this optimistic naivety and cartoon show cluelessness. He thinks anything can be fixed with kindness and communication and guess what? It does when he’s around! He can make the world a better place with his influence, being like a cartoon character come to life.
He’s not even secretly evil or anything. Genuinely just a sweet guy!
