When you’re the first one to lose in a game of Commander that’s been dragging on forever

Hey, I'm working on...
A red-black-blue pirate deck for mtg. It's all about treasures, I plan on having revel in riches and deadeye plunderers. Any other suggestions?
Worth it or no?
Ixalan is on Ravnica
A friend of mine shared this theory with me yesterday and said that not many people were talking about it, so i thought i should share.
So, the Gatewatch have been defeated by Nicol Bolas and have all scattered. Jace has had his memory wiped and in standard Jace fare, planeswalked to a plane he instinctively knew was safe. I doubt a world ravaged by dinosaurs and pirates is the safest place in the Multiverse, but Jace has planeswalked to Ravnica upon memory wipe before.
Story articles between sets have also been touching a lot on things in Ravnica, mainly the Orzhov Syndicate, and the White-Black faction for Ixalan is coming from a church background.
There's also the way Wizards is speaking in regards to Ixalan. Allison Luhrs, who works on the story team, was on a podcast recently about the MtG story. There, she originally referred to Ixalan as a plane, but quickly corrected herself. Ixalan is a continent on a larger world, and the conflict is about different factions looking for a golden city. Wizards also moved away from the block structure, saying that they will stay on a plane as long as necessary.
Also there is the fact that Ral Zarek told Jace that Vraska had disappeared from Ravnica, but he couldn't detect where. The simple answer of how did she planeswalk away but not leave the plane is that she's still on the plane.
Rivals of Ixalan will end with Jace finding Ravnica and being reminded who he is, as the Living Guildpact.
Elegant Design- Vanquisher’s Banner
Vanquisher’s Banner is one of my favourite cards in Ixilan. Not because it’s especially strong, or because it’s especially flavourful, but because of the elegance of it’s design. Let me explain. Tribal decks are hard to build. They need a lot of things to work- first, a cohesive mechanical identity. Second, payoffs for playing specifically cards of that tribe. Third, a critical mass of creatures of that tribe that are at or above a certain line for playability. The stronger the tribal payoffs are, the lower that base line of playability. Take Elves, for example. Their mechanical identity is about low-cost creatures that produce mana and mass creature pump, usually through lords. Faerie tribal, on the other hand, is a disruptive aggro-control strategy that uses removal, countermagic, and Flash creatures to tempo the opponent out. The result is that the payoffs that would work for Elves (In this case, the traditional lord) don’t do nearly as much for Faeries. When creating a card that needs to serve as a generic tribal payoff, you need to find a way to be able to do something for every tribe. Vanquisher’s Banner succeeds admirably in this. First, it shares the standard “lord” text that has been a staple of tribal effects for years. It’s CMC5 means that, for tribes like Pirates, Goblins, or Vampires, it comes down after most of the creatures of that tribe, making an immediate and clear impact on the board. Those low-CMC tribes often have more token support, making that traditional buff even more effective. Where Vanquisher’s Banner really shines, though, is in how it finds a simple, elegant way to reward higher-CMC tribes. The triggered ability, draw a card when you cast a creature spell of the chosen type, is actually more effective when the majority of your creatures come down after the banner itself. Angels, Dragons, and Dinosaurs all benefit from this form of card advantage, and it still works for low-CMC tribes that can chain creatures through the card draw. That’s a lot of words to say, I really, really like this card. I’m a little sad that I can’t think of an appropriate home for it.
